台灣跨年人氣最旺的台北101，重頭戲當然是188秒的煙火秀，今年台北101特別從歐洲運來低煙冷光的煙火，要讓大家看的更清楚，結果吸引85萬群眾一起跨年，其中也包括總統馬英九，他希望明年比今年更好、更旺。
倒數聲中,煙火在夜空中綻放，2013四個數字從101大樓射出，宣告2013年來臨！
彩色光束圍繞著101大樓，一會兒由下而上爬升，一會兒又繞著大樓轉圈起舞。
101大樓秀出TIME FOR TAIWAN的字樣，往年總是被抱怨煙霧太濃看不清楚，今年台北101特地從歐洲運來低煙冷光煙火，走法式浪漫風，188秒發射兩萬兩千發煙火，秏資三千萬元。
More than 850,000 spectators watched the much-anticipated Taipei 101 fireworks. Organizers imported low-smoke fireworks from Europe to try to give the audience a clear view.
Right after the countdown, fireworks were set off into the night sky. They spelled out 2013 to mark the arrival of the new year.
Colorful fireworks launched from Taipei 101 illuminated the sky of Taipei. Some climbed the building and others spiraled around it.
After the fireworks an LED light display with the words "Time for Taiwan” was shown on the tower's walls in English and Mandarin. Due to past criticism, Taipei 101 imported low-smoke fireworks from Europe, which radiated cold luminescence to give spectators a better view. The French pyrotechnic bonanza included 22,000 rockets over 188 seconds, at an estimated cost of NT$30 million.
