H7N9流感才剛在台灣爆出首例個案，國內都還在加強防疫機制的同時，緊接著而來的是中國五一連假，到時候將有大批中國客來台觀光，這對台灣的疫情勢必造成衝擊，疾管局已經擬定好了中國客在台就醫的補助方案，以及相關防疫的加強措施。
明天即將開始的五一連假，萬一有中國客在台發病，疾管局訂出一套醫療補助方案。

“在這知道結果之前的這些費用，都是我們在負擔，知道這個結果是確診，除了我們支付四項費用之外，其他費用必須要由你自己來負擔”
政府支應的醫療費包括病房費、H7N9流感病毒檢驗費、克流感一個療程五天、醫院膳食費，由病患自行吸收的部分包括，葉克膜、其他藥物、醫師巡房費，一天約需要自行負擔1萬2仟多塊，
疾管局向外國旅客呼籲，來台灣前最好先買保險。

Fears that Chinese travelers could bring a deadly new strain of bird flu to Taiwan has renewed debate over who should pay should they need treatment and quarantine. The Centers for Disease Control says that it will subsidize part of the screening and treatment costs, though a significant portion would have to be paid by the patient.
Tomorrow is the start of a five-day holiday in China, which will bring more Chinese tourists to Taiwan. Before then the Centers for Disease Control explained subsidies it will offer for foreigners not covered under Taiwan’s National Health Insurance system.

We will cover costs before a diagnosis is known. If confirmation is made we will pay for four items. The patient must pay the remaining costs.
Government assistance covers the hospital room, H7N9 lab screening fees, Tamiflu medication for five days and hospital meals.
Patients without insurance must cover other costs themselves. Treatment requiring ECMO machines, other drugs, and physician fees could reach upwards of NT$12,000 a day.
The CDC appealed to foreign visitors to buy travel insurance before coming to Taiwan.
