福隆沙雕季

國際沙雕展在這個禮拜六即將在福隆海水浴場開幕，今年共有77件大型作品，展出內容包括各種國內外卡通人物、還有江南大叔。目前20多位國際級的沙雕高，正在最後趕工，希望做出最細緻的沙雕作品。

這是美國經典兒童節目，芝麻街的COOKIE MONSTER和他的朋友們! 今年福隆沙雕展的主題，就是童年記憶。

回憶當然少不了1960年代英國流行樂團披頭四。還有現在當紅的江南大叔，招牌動作，雕刻的唯妙唯肖。

美國隊長，蝙蝠俠，還有現在小朋友最愛的航海王和憤怒鳥，都在這裡出現。沙雕家苦思和巧手完成的作品，難道不怕一下雨，沙雕就毀了嗎?

福隆沙雕季將於5月4號開幕。

International sand sculpture festival to kick off at Fulong Beach (2013/04/29)

Artists are putting the final touches on their sculptures ahead of the Fulong Sand Sculpture Festival. The festival begins this weekend in northeast Taiwan and will feature more than 75 large-scale sculptures. 

This is Cookie Monster and those are his friends from the American classic TV series “Sesame Street.” This year’s theme of the Fulong Sand Sculpture Festival is childhood memories.

The festival also includes the 1960s music group the Beatles and a remarkable sculpture of Korean pop star PSY with his signature move.

These sculptures take viewers on a journey back to every phase of their childhood. And a special feature this year is that we have sculptures created by artists from 16 countries.

The sculptures include Captain America, Batman and new children’s favorites One Piece and Angry Bird. But aren’t the artists afraid that the rain will destroy these sand sculptures?

When the sun comes out, we immediately spray protective glue so we can make sure the sculptures won’t be ruined by rain during the exhibition. 

The Fulong Sand Sculpture Festival begins on Saturday.
