換車補助
為刺激消費，行政院12日再度召開專案會議，研擬要推出"汰舊換新、現金補助"方案。民眾淘汰15年以上的老舊車輛，購買新車，汽車補貼3萬、機車補貼4千。消息一出，業者都說樂觀其成，不過希望，政府不要只是說說，而要有明確的時間表。
老夫子便當
為了慶祝台鐵126週年，台鐵特地請來，四、五年級生熟悉的漫畫人物老夫子當代言人，還重新創造五款漫畫，登上台鐵的便當封面，台鐵表示，從今天開始，會在五個車站販售。

Cash for Clunkers
The Cabinet is considering another round of its clash for clunkers program. Vehicle owners would just need to scrap a 15-year-old vehicle to receive a NT$30,000 subsidy for a new car or a NT$4,000 subsidy for a new scooter. Automobile and scooter dealers are hopeful that the plan is implemented and are encouraging the government to give a timetable.
New Railway Spokesman
To celebrate its 126th anniversary Taiwan Railways is having beloved comic book character Old Master Q serve as a spokesman. The Old Master comics are also featured on five new designs used to decorate railway lunchboxes. The railways began selling the lunchboxes at five stations on Monday.
