高鐵年底漲
高鐵通車六年半來，即將首度調漲，目前每天有12萬人搭乘的北高線，預計單程會貴140，漲幅最大的是台北、新竹，漲了一成多。高鐵預估，最快今年十月正式實施。

北教大併校
台北市立教育大學創了台灣改名次數記錄。創校至今一百一十八年，改了十一次校名，八月一日又將與北市體育學院正式合併，再度改名為台北市立大學，這也引發學生們的熱烈討論。

另類翱翔天
新竹縣政府，配合53屆全國中小學科展活動，建造了一個垂直風洞體驗，只要穿上蝙蝠裝，透過肢體的伸展，就可以實現飛行的夢想。活動將從今天至二十八日於新竹縣政府舉辦。

Higher Fares
After six and half years of operation, the Taiwan High Speed Rail will soon implement its first fare hike. Currently, 120,000 commuters are serviced by the Taipei-Kaohsiung route, with one-way fares potentially increasing by NT$140. The highest fare hike will be Taipei to Hsinchu, which may increase by more than 10 percent. Officials noted that the fare hike could officially be implemented by October at the earliest.

School Gets Name Change
Taipei Municipal University of Education holds the record for the most name changes in Taiwan. Founded 118 years ago, the university has changed its name 11 times, and on Aug. 1 it will change its name once again as it merges with Taipei Physical Education College. The new name will be Taipei Municipal University, sparking a lively discussion among students.

Feels Like Flying
The Hsinchu County government is cooperating with the 53rd National Primary and High School Science Fair to construct a vertical wind tunnel. Those who put on a special flight suit can enter the tunnel and experience the feeling of flight as they stretch out their arms. The wind tunnel and the rest of the fair run until Sunday.
