Astros manager Bo Porter officially announced that Taiwanese pitcher Lo Chia-jen will share the role of closer with Josh Fields. Porter said he will choose which closer to use depending on the conditions of each game.

Little League Update
At the Little League World Series, taking place in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, Taoyuan County’s Chung Ping Elementary School lost to a team from Japan by a score of 3 to 2. Taiwan’s next game is two hours away, against a team from the Caribbean.

Women’s Doubles Win
Women’s doubles tennis partners, Hsieh Su-wei and Peng Shuai, defeated Kveta Peschke and Anna-Lena Groenefeld in the championship round at the Western and Southern Open in Cincinnati by a score of 2:6, 6:3 and 12:10
