去年出現嚴重虧損的宏碁，展開轉型，下午董事長施振榮帶著新任執行長陳俊聖一起面對媒體，施振榮說，陳俊聖是單槍匹馬來宏碁，他對陳俊聖的期許就是希望他將來「功高震主」！

從台積電挖角來的陳俊聖，專長在行銷，是台積電有史以來最年輕的資深副總，之前還先後待過英特爾和IBM。

宏碁向張忠謀借將，因為近年來電腦銷售不佳，去年出貨量大減16%，市佔率掉到7.6%, 而陳俊聖說要讓宏碁第三次改造。

面對嚴峻的考驗，陳俊聖說他將用正面的態度，帶領宏碁順利轉型！

New Acer CEO introduced to the media (2014/01/13)

In a press conference today, new Acer CEO Jason Chen said he looks forward to transforming the struggling Taiwanese computer maker. Chen was joined by Chairman Stan Shih, who recently rejoined Acer in an effort to resurrect the company he founded.

I look forward to Jason being an outstanding performer and soon eclipsing me. Reporters will forget about Stan.

Chen was lured away from TSMC. His expertise is in marketing, and he was the youngest ever TSMC senior vice president. His resume also includes prior stints with Intel and IBM.

I think it’s a good thing that TSMC can train people to work and lead other companies.

Acer’s decision to recruit talent from TSMC was needed as Acer suffered from poor sales in recent years. A 16 percent fall in PC shipments last year caused its market share to plunge to 7.6 percent. At this turning point in the company’s history, Chen believes he will lead a third transformation.

We think the industry will move toward the “build your own cloud” concept. This will be hugely important and is something we have total confidence in.

Serious challenges await Acer, though its new CEO believes his attitude and experience will lead to a smooth transition.
