我國陸軍向美國購買的阿帕契AH-64E攻擊直升機，第一批今天凌晨抵達高雄港，上午在碼頭進行組裝。但由於阿帕契過去都是在沙漠地形的戰場執行任務，遭到立委質疑不符合我國需求，陸軍澄清偵蒐能力沒有困難，但裝備確實會受到天候、電波等因素影響。
被視為世界上攻擊直升機排行榜第一名，陸軍斥資593億向美國採購30架的阿帕契直升機，今起陸續運抵台灣。
首批六架阿帕契直升機，一車車零件，放在軍方運輸車上，送進高雄港79號碼頭，在碼頭內進行組裝。

四號跟明天五號在作業，到了六號以後，作簡單測試，七號會直接回我們台南歸仁基地。
阿帕契攻擊直昇機，A64E型，是美陸軍正服役機型，機上可搭載兩人，最高時速293公里，巡航時速265公里，機上有30公釐機砲，備彈1200發，響尾蛇飛彈及火箭彈等。
不過這款原本服役於沙漠風暴和阿富汗戰役的直升機，不具有海上目標辨識功能，符合我國的需求嗎。

阿帕契直升機上面配備的雷達，可以對陸上、海上都可以實施偵搜，但是在偵搜的時候，會受到天候、電波的干擾。
不過，國防部長嚴明還是掛保證，表示阿帕契直升機能提升國軍戰力，也符合國軍作戰任務。
Taiwan’s first batch of Apache AH-64E attack helicopters arrived this morning at Kaohsiung Harbor. Despite concerns from lawmakers that the US-made helicopters are built for desert environments, the Ministry of National Defense says they are suited for both land- and sea-based reconnaissance.
The world’s most feared attack helicopter, the Apache, has arrived in Taiwan. Today was the first shipment in an order of 30 helicopters with a total price tag of NT$59 billion.
The first six Apache helicopters along with parts were loaded onto military vehicles and sent to Kaohsiung Harbor’s Pier No. 79 where assembly would take place.

On Nov. 5 and 6 we will conduct simple tests, and on Nov. 7 they will go to our Tainan Guiren Base.
The Apache A64E attack helicopter is currently used by the U.S. Army. It can carry two people with a top speed of 293 kilometers per hour and a cruising speed of 265 kilometers per hour. It also can carry up to 1,200 30-mm rounds, Sidewinder missiles and other firepower.
But some are concerned that these helicopters are best for operations such as Desert Storm and the terrain of Afghanistan. When it comes to identifying and locking on maritime targets, the helicopters may not be well suited to Taiwan’s needs.

Apache helicopters are equipped with radar and can perform reconnaissance on sea and land. But when carrying out reconnaissance, they could be affected by weather and radio interference.
The defense minister said that despite the concerns, the addition of Apache helicopters will greatly enhance Taiwan’s combat effectiveness.
