高雄今天有場專門為身心障礙朋友量身訂做的就業博覽會，會中來了許多身障朋友求職，口足畫家楊恩典，也特別到場作畫，要用親身經歷告訴大家，身障者也能出類拔萃！

這場就業博覽會，很不一樣，有人坐著輪椅找尋就業機會，有人撐著柺杖來面談，他們要用行動證明自己，就算身體有缺陷，工作也一樣能有好表現

“去過一家公司他們看到我這樣子，覺得為什麼你這樣還來應徵，很多人都會這樣想，但是我覺得我不是就好了，就是想靠自己能力去工作”

“被酒駕撞的，對方也沒理賠，所以我要出來自力更生找工作”

博覽會中，28家廠商，提供近200個專屬身障者的職缺，但或許，每個廠商職缺都是個位數，也讓身障朋友期盼，工作機會能再更多一點。

“每一個機會雖然是個位數，但是都是要用身心障礙朋友的，這是很精實的就業機會，我們希望有拋磚引玉效果，更多企業協助身心障礙朋友”

現場也請來口足畫家楊恩典代言，看她熟練的用腳趾，拿起畫筆作畫，傳遞永不放棄的信念。

Kaohsiung held a job fair for disabled people today. The event paired potential employers with those who hope to support themselves in spite of their physical handicaps. 

This job fair is very different than most, as many of the participants use wheelchairs or canes. In interviews, these applicants hope to prove to potential employers the ability to overcome their physical handicaps and excel at work.

I went to one company and when they saw (my physical condition), they wondered why I would be seeking a job. Many people share this opinion, but I don’t. I want to use my ability to get a job.

I was hit by a drunk driver and didn’t receive any compensation, so I have to go out and depend upon myself to get a job. 

The job fair had 28 companies providing nearly 200 job openings to those with physical disabilities. While there are only a few opportunities within each company, many disabled people hope there will be more opportunities in the future.

While (companies) only had single-digit vacancies, each one was specifically designated for a person with physical disabilities. Despite only a few employment opportunities, we hope (this event) will inspire more enterprises to assist disabled people.

Also at the job fair was Grace Yang, a disabled artist who paints with her feet. She demonstrated how everyone can overcome physical challenges with hard work and dedication.
