台灣農業新典範，就在中台灣，櫻花農張洲府，從黑手轉型成功，他把台灣山櫻跟日本吉野櫻，中日混血配種，培育出全世界獨一無二的平地熱帶櫻花，枝條耐的住40度高溫，還因此獲得神農獎殊榮，現在這個品種的櫻花，還冠上他自己的大名，就叫"洲府枝垂櫻"！

年輕人拍照，錯位拍出高過櫻花的特效，其他人也能輕易彎下腰，俯視花團錦簇的嬌媚，這個品種的櫻花，帶給遊客的，不再是高不可攀的刻板印象。

粉色花瓣，乍看就像日本品種，其實它是中日混血兒。由台灣的艷紅山櫻，和日本的純白色染井吉野櫻，透過人工授粉培育而成的洲府枝垂櫻。獨一無二的樣貌下，還很耐旱，是全世界絕無僅有。

“台灣的孩子有的都比較傲氣，有些學校就會來帶一些(枝垂櫻) ，回去校園種植 ，讓孩子(學習)性情能溫和一點”

張洲府，就是催生他的幕後推手，現在這個熱帶櫻花，就用他的名字來命名。

A farmer in central Taiwan has created a new cherry tree hybrid that can resist 40 degree heat. For his innovation he was recently given a special agricultural award. 

These young people jump into the air to capture a photo of them above the cherry blossoms. Others bend at the waist to view these delightful flowers. This new type of plant is changing the stereotype of what cherry trees should look like.

Most cherry blossoms grow straight up and are not so approachable.

At first glance, these pink petals lead some to believe that they are a Japanese variety. But in fact they are a hybrid of red Taiwan cherry and white Japanese Yoshino cherry. They are called Chou Fu weeping cherry, and were created through artificial cultivation. Besides their unique appearance, they are drought resistant.

Some Taiwanese kids are rather smug, so schools want to plant these weeping cherry trees on campus to help the children develop a more pleasant temperament.

Chang Chou-fu is the person behind this hybrid plant. His name is now being forever memorialized in a tree.
