A wingsuit is a special suit designed to help a person glide through the air using wings that stretch from the body to the arms as well as between the legs. The suits allow men and women to glide great distances as part of a skydive or BASE jump. If the jumper starts high enough, these suits can help people fly for several kilometers. There are hundreds of videos online of brave wingsuit fliers passing through canyons, under bridges, and even a few meters off the rocky ground. It is a difficult pastime to take up, however.
