In 2006, father and son Marc and Mike Spits were on holiday in Thailand. There they met Mosha, a baby elephant that had lost a foot in an accident. They were so moved by Mosha’s injury that the Spits family began the Elephant Parade in 2007.
When you first hear about the Elephant Parade, it sounds like a circus, but it is not. In truth, the Elephant Parade is a traveling art show that features elephant statues and makes money for their protection. It is made up of life-sized baby elephant statues, and each one is a unique work of art by a world-class artist. The collection of over 100 statues appears around the world and has traveled across Asia, Europe, and North America.

An unemployed fitness fanatic who spends four hours a day working out says he claims benefits because he is ’too fit to work’.

Kamran Kam, from East London, who receives £72.50 per week in Jobseeker’s Allowance, says he has stopped looking for a 9-5 job because the ’boring’ lifestyle would interfere with his strict regime.

The 25-year-old even believes the super-fit should receive extra government handouts for staying in shape so they can be ’free of everyday work’.

Machu City in the Sky Picchu

Deep within the Andes Mountains sits an ancient city once lost to time. At the height of the Incan Empire, the ninth Incan emperor Pachacuti ordered the building of a city above the clouds called Machu Picchu. Around the 15th century, thousands of masons and artisans shaped tons upon tons of stone with nothing but simple rock hammers. Over the years, these skilled craftsmen would shape what would become the seat of the Incan Empire.
In 1532, 168 Spanish conquistadors invaded the Incas in search for gold and riches. The small band of conquistadors overpowered thousands of Incan soldiers with their guns, horses, and steel armor. The once mighty Incan Empire fell, and the proud city of Machu Picchu was abandoned and forgotten.

In May of 2014, Jordan Axani and his then girlfriend, Elizabeth Gallagher, booked discounted plane tickets in his name and his girlfriend’s name to go around the world. There was one problem, however. Axani and Gallagher soon broke up and their plane tickets to go around the world were non-transferable. Axani did not want the tickets to go to waste so he went to social media to offer up his ex-girlfriend’s tickets, but there was a catchthe lucky individual had to be named Elizabeth Gallagher and had to be Canadian.
When Axani posted the offer for a free round-the-world trip in early November of 2014, hundreds of people from all over the world contacted him for the offer.
