總統馬英九母親秦厚修晚間因慢性肺部腫瘤併發呼吸衰竭病逝台北市立萬芳醫院，享壽93歲。

萬芳醫院表示，馬家決定不設治喪委員會，不發訃聞，不設靈堂。馬總統晚間在萬芳醫院陪秦厚修走完最後一程，明起一連3天沒公開行程，全心處理後事

President Ma Ying-jeou’s mother Chin Hou-hsiu has died of acute respiratory failure at age 93. She had been diagnosed with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and was admitted to Taipei’s Wan Fang Hospital last month. 

The hospital says the Ma family has decided not to issue an obituary or rent a funeral hall. Ma was with his mother before she died and will make funerary arrangements over the next several days.
