Nvidia’s stock market value ended the trading session above $4 trillion for the first time on Thursday, solidifying the chipmaker’s position as Wall Street’s central player in a race to dominate AI technology.

Nvidia’s stock market value briefly peaked above $4 trillion on Wednesday before closing at about $3.97 trillion. It is worth more than the combined value of all publicly listed companies in the UK.

Nvidia achieved a $1 trillion market value for the first time in June 2023 and tripled it in about a year, faster than Apple and Microsoft, the only other U.S. firms with market values above $3 trillion.

A Peruvian fisherman was found alive after drifting at sea for 94 days, a navy official said.

Maximo Napa, 61, was rescued in his small fishing boat after being spotted by an Ecuadoran vessel off the coast of Chimbote in northern Peru.

An Alaska brown bear at the Lake Superior Zoo in northeastern Minnesota has a gleaming new silver-colored canine tooth in a first-of-its-kind procedure for a bear.

Dutch police have finally cracked the case of a petrol station robbery nearly a decade on after the thief handed himself in, apparently wracked by a guilty conscience.
荷蘭警方終於偵破一起加油站搶劫案，因為這名強盜在犯案近10年後出面自首，顯然深受罪惡感折磨。
The cold case dates back to January 18, 2016. A robber stole a few hundred euros from a petrol station in the southern Dutch town of Terneuzen.

The cashier was able to give a detailed description of the thief and police opened an investigation, but could not find their man and the case remained unsolved.

"A 28-year-old man who now lives in Arnhem probably had a guilty conscience and recently handed himself in to police in his hometown," authorities said.

A census of brown bears using DNA for the first time has revealed that up to 13,000 of the protected species are living in Romania, much more than the 8,000 previously estimated, the government announced on Thursday.

Estonia’s president on Wednesday signed into law a constitutional amendment banning non-EU citizens from taking part in local elections, a move targeting the large Russian minority in the Baltic state.

The Shuntian Chemical Group, based in China’s Shandong province, told its 1,200 employees in January that any unmarried workers aged between 28 and 58, including those who are divorced, were required to "resolve your personal marriage issues" by 30 September.
總部位於中國山東省的舜天化工集團1月間通知1200名員工，凡年齡在28歲至58歲之間的未婚者，包括離婚者，都必須在9月30日前「解決個人婚姻問題」。
"If not completed by the first quarter, you must write a self-reflection," its announcement read.

"If not completed by the second quarter, the company will conduct an evaluation. If you cannot get married and establish a family by the third quarter, the company will terminate your labour contract," it continued.
