One example of this is US$1 million given to Doctors Without Borders to provide emergency assistance to people suffering from the major earthquake in Haiti in 2010. Pitt and Jolie have also adopted children from poor countries, including Ethiopia and Vietnam. The couple has a family of eight, with three biological children.
