The country of Morocco is located in northern Africa. It has coasts on both the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. It is a fairly dry country with the Sahara Desert in the south and the Atlas Mountains running through the center. Because of the country's location, it is also a meeting point between West Africa, the Arab countries of North Africa, and Europe. The people speak Arabic or Berber, though French is also common. Morocco is both a historic center of trade and a popular tourist destination.
