愛因斯坦說：「直覺的心靈是一種神聖的天賦，理性的思惟則是忠實的僕人。但我們已創造出一個尊崇僕人卻輕忽天賦的社會。」 教育學最新發現，好的學習方式是觀察和掌握自己的思想動態，進一步突破現有的障礙。
當學生適應而且懂得控制思維方向後，就會發展出一種智能，此智能可以把知識領域如磚塊般堆砌上來。簡單來說，推理能力對於邏輯和思辯是必要的，背誦讓人們通過考試，但死記的知識最終在現實生活中毫無用處。另一方面，掌握與自主如何運作自己內心的訣竅後，會開啓新的創新和創造力。
Einstein said: “The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift.” In writing to a friend, he also said that: "People like you and I… do not grow old no matter how long we live...[We] never cease to stand like curious children before the great mystery into which we were born." And perhaps, as long as we strive to keep on learning like children, we will never grow old.
