A western Michigan community is celebrating the 40th anniversary of its beloved singing Christmas tree.

The Mona Shores Singing Christmas Tree, which features a 180-student high school choir and stands 15 rows tall, belted out 19 holiday tunes at a Muskegon theater this week and was set to perform two more shows on Saturday. The Canadian government officially apologized Saturday to an Indigenous community for the killing of several hundred sled dogs by police more than half a century ago.

New York plans to revive a $9 congestion mitigation charge for driving in Manhattan starting in January that the state indefinitely put on hold earlier this year, Governor Kathy Hochul said on Thursday.

The American Museum of Natural History revealed the identity of its latest resident - "Apex," one of the most complete specimens ever discovered of the plant-eating dinosaur Stegosaurus.

To excited gasps from an audience of school children, the museum pulled back a beige curtain to reveal the 3.4-meter tall, 6-meter long skeleton of the Jurassic Period dinosaur.

Paleontologists unveiled on Wednesday the fossil of a young marine crocodile dating back 10 to 12 million years that was discovered in a Peruvian desert.

For nearly nine months, John Alfred Tinniswood held the title of world’s oldest man, marking his 112th birthday during his reign.

Nuclear-armed India has tested its first hypersonic missile, the defence minister said Sunday, publicising the super-fast high-tech weapon days after rival China showcased its latest military aviation powers.

Cyclists using a mobile phone while riding in Japan could face up to six months in jail under strict new rules that entered into force Friday.
