在2007年宣布捐贈150億給台大，建立全國最大癌症醫療中心的郭台銘，今天再度和台大合作，要向全球發出爭才計畫，希望替台灣的生醫領域爭取至少5位諾貝爾級的高階人才和數百位專家！
郭台銘和台大校長楊泮池，一起啟動全球"爭才令"，因為三月他贊助成立的永齡生醫工程館完工啟用。

爭取全球生醫界的頂尖人才，郭台銘目標是要打造華人第一的癌症醫療中心。

“未來在癌醫中心醫院落成後，我們在設備、技術、人才、研發，全方位服務，台灣社會成為華人社會第一，並引領全球的先進癌醫學，研究預防的治療中心。”
鴻海旗下的永齡基金會2007年捐贈台大150億，其中100億用來設癌症醫院，50億元作為「永齡生醫工程館」，進行細胞治療、預防醫學、智慧醫院研究。
Hon Hai Chairman Terry Gou donated NT$15 billion to National Taiwan University six years ago to build a cancer hospital. Today, Gou again joined with the school, this time to recruit Nobel Laureate talent to staff a biomedical engineering center tied to the cancer facility.
Terry Gou and National Taiwan University President Yang Pan-chyr together launched a global “talent call” for people to man the school’s YongLin Biomedical Engineering Center, expected to be completed in March.

In going after the world’s top biomedical talent, Gou wants to create the leading cancer center in the Chinese-speaking world.

In the future, after the cancer center becomes a reality, we want it to be No. 1 in the Chinese community in terms of equipment, talent, research and services, and also create a treatment center that leads the world in advanced cancer science and prevention research.
The Hon Hai Group’s YongLin Foundation donated NT$15 billion to National Taiwan University in 2007. Of that NT$10 billion was for the cancer hospital and NT$5 billion was for the YongLin Biomedical Engineering Center to conduct research into cell therapy, preventive medicine and smart hospitals.
