米商要降價
混米風暴之後，被點名的包裝米，用將一等米降等成二等米的方式來因應，但卻沒有降價，讓行政院長江宜樺都跳出來關切，昨天晚上糧商終於承諾每包要降價五到四十元，只有義美還是堅持不降。
電影票漲價
為了反映水電和基本薪資調漲，國賓影城從明天開始，每張電影票漲十元，威秀也會在月底跟進。農曆過年民眾想看電影，恐怕得再多花一點錢。
南橫熊出沒
台北市立動物園的圓仔模樣萌翻，不過台東也有可愛的台灣黑熊，在霧中迷朦入鏡，由熊媽媽帶著小熊，漫步在森林中，模樣十分可愛，讓監測的台東林管處研究人員都欣喜不已。
Rice Sellers Lower Prices
Last year, Taiwanese rice sellers were exposed for blending inferior grade rice into product labeled as higher grade. After being caught, they added a sticker to the packaging downgrading the rice to its actual grade. Despite this change, they didn’t lower prices, an act that caught the attention of the Cabinet. Pressure led most sellers to agree to lower prices by between NT$5 and NT$40, though Imei is still holding out.
Movie Ticket Price Hikes
Ambassador Theatres will raise prices by NT$10 a ticket starting tomorrow. It blames higher utility rates and a hike in the minimum wage. At the end of the month, Vieshow Cinemas will likewise charge more for its tickets. Those who want to see a film during the upcoming Lunar New Year will have to pay a little more.
Formosan Black Bears
Taipei’s famous panda cub may gather all the headlines, but Taitung wants people to remember that it is still home to a handful of Formosan black bears. New images of this rare animal were captured, showing a mother bear leading her cub in a walk through the forest. Forestry workers monitoring the area were delighted.
