立法院長王金平的確認黨籍案，台北地院下午進行一審宣判。法官認為國民黨當初開鍘王金平，缺乏民意基礎、違反人民團體法，因此判決王金平勝訴。

去年九月，立法院長王金平因涉入替立委柯建銘關說司法個案，被國民黨開除黨籍。

因王金平黨籍假處分案已獲法院裁准，不論雙方會不會上訴，在官司定讞前，都仍保有國民黨籍。

Last fall Taiwan’s ruling KMT was rocked by a political dispute that led to the expulsion one of its highest-ranking members, Legislative Speaker Wang Jin-pyng. Wang ended up keeping his party membership through an injunction, and today Taipei District Court ruled that the KMT violated the Civil Associations Act when it stripped Wang of his membership. 

Wang Jin-pyng was expelled from the KMT last year, over allegations he interfered in a legal case in support of DPP Legislator Ker Chien-ming.

Most members thought these actions caused serious injury to the KMT’s image and reputation. The (committee) voted by a majority consensus that Wang Jin-pyng damaged the party’s reputation so his party membership should be revoked.

Wang won an injunction against the expulsion. Today, in the first ruling on this case, Wang won a civil suit to keep his KMT membership.

Since the court previously granted Wang’s injunction, even if an appeal is made, Wang will keep his KMT membership until a final ruling is given. 

抗議服貿強行進入院會審查，大批學生18日晚間佔領國會議堂，要求退回服貿協議。藝文界紛紛發聲相挺，除了透過網路，導演柯一正更是陪著學生們守在立院。民謠創作歌手陳明章，則是在立院外演唱。

歷經一整晚的攻佔立院，學生依舊士氣高昂，要求立法院退回週一被國民黨突襲送進院會的服貿協議。

在院內陪伴學生的，除了聲援的立委，還有藝文界人士。

網路上，五月天瑪莎、歌手張懸都表達支持，作家九把刀，在臉書Po上學生佔領國會守夜照，寫上「謝謝你們」。

面對學生大規模的動作，總統馬英九今天還是不忘呼籲黨籍立委，要在這會期完成服貿協議審查，以利台灣與他國爭取經濟結盟的機會。

Opposition lawmakers and entertainers are expressing support for students who climbed barriers and broke through police lines to storm the Legislature last night. The students occupied the speaker’s podium in order to prevent passage of a trade-in-services pact Taiwan signed last year with China. Fearful that the agreement could pave the way for Chinese businesses to take jobs away from Taiwan, the students are demanding greater transparency and a line-by-line review of the pact. 

After a night spent occupying the Legislature, morale among students remained high. They are demanding that the Legislature send the trade-in-services pact back to committee after the KMT “forced” it through to a plenary session.

Opposition lawmakers support the students, as do many entertainers.

Outside the Legislature, singer Chen Ming-chang voiced support for the students.

Online, Masa of Mayday and singer Deserts Chang expressed support. Writer Jiu Ba-dao posted a photo on Facebook of the students occupying the speaker’s podium. He wrote “thank you.”

Despite the demonstrations, President Ma Ying-jeou continued to urge ruling party lawmakers to complete review of the trade-in-services pact this legislative session. Ma claims the pact, made only with China, will help Taiwan enter into economic alliances with other nations.

An Iranian man has broken the world record for the number of years spent without bathing.

He spent the last 60 years without a bath. The Iranian News Agency （IRNA） recently published pictures of the 80 year old man.

The agency noted that the man, Amoo Hadji, lives in the village of Dezhgah of Fars province in Iran.

Diamonds are formed from pure carbon under extreme heat and pressure at depths of about 150km in the Earth’s crust. Volcanic eruptions bring the valuable crystals to the surface, usually preserved in another type of bluish rock called kimberlite.
