Asia’s largest computer show, Computex Taipei, begins today (2014/06/03)

Today was the opening of Computex Taipei. This year’s event features a variety of smart technology ranging from wearable devices to mobile computing and e-books.

It was the first day for 2014 Computex Taipei as a large crowd filled this exhibition hall. One of the most popular sections of the exhibit is the smart technology area.

NTU College of Management students return to family run business (2014/06/03)

Long ago, Taiwan's textile industry began to relocate to Southeast Asia to enjoy cheaper OEM production costs. Two students from National Taiwan University’s College of Management hope to help their family run business survive in Taiwan. To them, producing a pair of jeans entirely in “Made in Taiwan” is a symbol of success.

陳文寬人物

復興航空創辦人，高齡101歲的陳文寬，今天接受交通部頒贈一等獎章，有著”航空教父”美名的陳文寬，曾經在二次世界大戰時，援救過美國少校杜立德，以及當時行政院長孔祥熙夫人宋藹齡，是我國航空史上，相當著名的傳奇飛行員。

一身灰西裝，有我國航空教父之稱的陳文寬，獲頒一等獎章。

Legendary pilot receives first grade transportation medal (2014/06/03)

Founder of local airline TransAsia Airways, Chen Wen-kuan, who is now 101 years old, was presented the first grade medal by Ministry of Transportation for his lifetime contribution in the industry. Known as the godfather of aviation, Chen is also known for saving the life of American military commander General James Doolittle during the Second World War.

Showing up in a grey suit, Chen Wen-kuan, is known to many as the godfather of aviation in Taiwan. He was recently presented the first grade transportation medal.

開車，對有駕照的人來說不難，但對於失去雙手的人來說，相當不便。在中國素有無手車神之稱的何躍林，參加過不少越野賽事，今天他來到台灣環島，說是要推廣台灣自駕車旅遊。

輕鬆的發動汽車、拉下安全帶，雖然失去手掌，卻能靈活自如，這位來自中國雲南的何躍林，跟親友第一次來台灣自由行，選擇租車到處玩。
China’s well known disabled race car driver comes to take a driving tour of Taiwan (2014/06/03)

For many people, driving a car is not difficult nor physically challenging. However, one Chinese national overcame the absence of his hands to become a competitive racer. He even participates in off road races. Recently he arrived in Taiwan to promote a driving tour of the island.

He easily starts this car and secures his seat belt. Although he lost his hands, he is still quite comfortable with many routine actions that some people take for granted. He Yue-lin is from Yunnan Province in China. On his first visit to Taiwan, he traveled independently with his friends, choosing to rent a car to travel the island.

For the past three years in a row, tea products from New Taipei City’s Pinglin have won the national championship n the category of partially fermented tea. Now, local farmers and artists have come up with new ways of using tea in everyday life, including cosmetic products and dyes. Visitors to Pinglin can now browse and experience these tea-inspired novelties.
