航跡中彈點

廣大興28號漁船，遭菲律賓公務船掃射，一共確認有45個射入點，其中五個彈孔，還射擊到水線下方，造成船員洪石成因此喪命，而船長形容，當時甚至差點射到漁船上的瓦斯，一不小心可能引爆，情況真的很危急。

廣大興28號船長洪育智描述，當時遇上菲律賓公務船掃射情形，再從彈著點來看，可以想像當時菲律賓公務船，根本是以掃射屠殺方式，在追殺漁船，而就是這個插上竹筷子的這個彈孔，研判就是造成船員洪石成死亡。

“船上架仔細的蒐證，發現子彈射入孔，是有45個射入孔，在駕駛艙下方的一發是打穿船體，進入到引擎室，這顆子彈貫穿之後，又從死者的左頸部穿入”

另外針對航跡圖，地檢署委請成大進行解讀。

“那裡面有這艘漁船，每三分鐘回報的速度，跟它所在的經緯度，那因為這部分因為比較重要，所以我們希望比對清楚之後，再擇適當時機，再對外界說明”

屏東地檢署表示調查一切還在進行中，並且已經提出請外交部協調到菲律賓調查。

Prosecutors continue investigation into fisherman’s death (2013/05/13)

An examination of a Taiwanese fishing boat that came under fire from a Philippine government vessel revealed 45 bullet holes. Prosecutors continue to investigate the boat and are hoping to travel to the Philippines to look further into the deadly confrontation at sea. 

The skipper of the Kuang Ta Hsing, Hung Yu-chih, described the conditions which led up to a Philippine government vessel opening direct fire. By examining the boat, one can see that the Philippine ship indiscriminately strafed the vessel, with little regard for the life of the fishermen on board. Investigators plugged bamboo chopsticks into the bullet holes on the ship to ascertain the cause of death of crew member Hung Shih-cheng.

The side of the boat shows 45 bullet holes. In the captain’s area a round penetrated the hull and went into the engine room, passing through the left neck of the victim.

艾奎諾回應

菲律賓公務船9日擊斃一名台灣漁民，菲律賓總統艾奎諾三世今天在中期選舉投票後，接受記者發問，針對台灣漁民事件，艾奎諾三世表示，菲律賓駐台辦事處已與台灣外交部官員會談，菲律賓方面一定會調查這起事件。

“涉案的人員已經被移送馬尼拉，關於漁民的死亡正在調查當中，然後會由外交部門進行交涉”

而對於台灣政府要求菲律賓道歉，艾奎諾三世不願回應。艾奎諾三世還說，他不願繼續對這一議題再多說，希望整件事是透過外交途徑解決。

Philippines President Responds (2013/05/13)

On a day when Philippine citizens went to the polls for midterm elections, President Benigno Aquino III spoke about the last week’s deadly shooting of a Taiwanese fisherman.

Those involved in this case have been sent to Manila, and an investigation is underway into the fisherman’s death. The Department of Foreign Affairs will handle diplomatic issues.

Aquino would not respond to Taipei’s demands for an official apology from Manila. He also said it would be best for the matter to be handled using diplomatic channels rather than the presidential office.

福隆沙雕季

國際沙雕展在這個禮拜六即將在福隆海水浴場開幕，今年共有77件大型作品，展出內容包括各種國內外卡通人物、還有江南大叔。目前20多位國際級的沙雕高，正在最後趕工，希望做出最細緻的沙雕作品。

這是美國經典兒童節目，芝麻街的COOKIE MONSTER和他的朋友們! 今年福隆沙雕展的主題，就是童年記憶。

回憶當然少不了1960年代英國流行樂團披頭四。還有現在當紅的江南大叔，招牌動作，雕刻的唯妙唯肖。

福隆沙雕季將於5月4號開幕。

International sand sculpture festival to kick off at Fulong Beach (2013/04/29)

Artists are putting the final touches on their sculptures ahead of the Fulong Sand Sculpture Festival. The festival begins this weekend in northeast Taiwan and will feature more than 75 large-scale sculptures. 

This is Cookie Monster and those are his friends from the American classic TV series “Sesame Street.” This year’s theme of the Fulong Sand Sculpture Festival is childhood memories.

The festival also includes the 1960s music group the Beatles and a remarkable sculpture of Korean pop star PSY with his signature move.

雲豹絕種了

根據台美生態學者組成的研究團隊經十三年的追蹤及分析，都沒有發現雲豹蹤跡，研判雲豹已經在台灣滅絕，調查報告將於年底刊登在英國的國際保育期刊。林務局表示，等報告刊出後，將提交野生動物諮詢委員會討論，如果獲認可，等於正式宣告雲豹滅絕。

調查人員在山野間，找尋台灣雲豹的蹤跡。由國內外學者所組成的研究團隊於13年間，在多處個雲豹會出現的地點，設置多個紅外線自動照相機及氣味陷阱，期間都未捕捉到雲豹的身影。

“所以我們覺得台灣雲豹在台灣存在的機率，是非常小，就算有，在生態上或許也不會可以永續生存的族群”

而目前台北市立動物園的二隻雲豹，都是進口的國外雲豹。姜博士說，雲豹之所以滅絕，和棲地破壞有關。

另外，台灣僅存的原生貓科動物石虎目前數量也不到五百隻，學者認為棲地破碎化一樣是原因。如不好好保護棲地，恐怕連石虎也要面臨滅種！

Conservationists worry the Formosan clouded leopard may be extinct (2013/04/29)

The Formosan clouded leopard is now considered extinct, according to an international research team. The team found no evidence of the animal after a more than decade-long search. The Forestry Bureau still plans to discuss the topic before making an official ruling. 

A research team headed into the mountains to look for traces of the Formosan clouded leopard. A team of local and foreign researchers have found no traces of the animal in prime habitat areas over the past 13 years. It used infrared cameras and odor traps and still found no evidence.

We think the probability of the Formosan clouded leopard existing in Taiwan is very small. It could still exist but not in sustainable numbers.

嘉農棒球片

名導演魏德勝監製的棒球電影"嘉農"，今天舉行殺青記者會，電影描寫日據時代 嘉義農林高校棒球隊，以黑馬之姿挺進日本甲子園決賽的熱血故事，拍攝時間巧逢經典賽中日大戰，其中的精神和感動，與劇情不謀而合。

1929年，一支由漢人，原住民和大和民族組成的嘉義農林高校棒球隊，一路過關斬將，奪下全島冠軍，還挺進甲子園決賽。這段奮鬥軌跡，即將登上大螢幕。

這部以"嘉農"為名棒球電影，由魏德勝監製，馬志翔導演，拍攝過程還巧逢經典賽的中日大戰。

Filming ends for movie about legendary Taiwanese baseball team (2013/04/29)

The crew of a new movie about a legendary Taiwanese baseball team held a press conference Monday to mark the end of filming. “Kano,” which is scheduled to open in spring of next year, tells the story of a 1930s baseball team which excelled in a Japanese tournament. 

In 1929 a Chiayi high school baseball team comprising Han, aboriginal and Yamato members excelled in an island wide tournament. It then reached the finals of Japan’s prestigious Koshien Tournament. The story of this team is the subject of a new film.

Named after the baseball team, “Kano” was produced by Wei Te-sheng and directed by Ma Chih-hsiang. Coincidentally, “Kano” was made during the recent World Baseball Classic, when Taiwan and Japan met in a classic game.
