政府出兵?

菲律賓槍殺我國漁民，引起國內激憤，前國安會副秘書長張榮豐批評政府反應慢半拍，事發當下應該立刻以武力反擊，才能有足夠的談判籌碼。其實，台灣海空軍實力遠勝菲律賓，軍事專家施孝瑋比擬，就像黃金獵犬對上吉娃娃，任何一艘主力戰艦，都可以殲滅菲律賓海軍。

我國漁民無辜遭到菲律賓公務船追殺，馬總統隔了三天才正式對菲國政府下通牒，要求道歉賠償，前國安會副秘書長張榮豐，不能接受。

因為根據世界軍力排名，我國位於世界第18，菲律賓則排在31名，對付菲律賓，綽綽有餘！

不管政府出不出兵，都應該在必要時展現武力，才能令敵人心生畏懼，不敢再犯。

President Ma’s response to the killing of fisherman doesn’t go far enough according to former National Security Council Deputy Secretary-General Chang Jung-feng. He criticized the government for its belated response, suggesting an immediate counter attack to garner more bargaining chips in future negotiations. Military experts agree that Taiwan has a vast naval and air superiority when facing the Philippines.

The death of an innocent fishermen at the hands of Philippines authorities has led President Ma to issue a 72-hour ultimatum to the Philippine government. Ma’s hard line request for an apology may not go far enough according to some experts like former National Security Council Deputy Secretary-General Chang Jung-feng.

If it was me, I would set up a committee to investigate the case, checking when these government boats go to sea and what area, and then prepare our ships and ambush them.

馬英九今天便前往小琉球洪石成靈前致意並慰問家屬，且進一步展現強硬態度，海巡署增派一艘台南艦，海軍則派出一艘康定艦，到台菲暫定執法線海域內，進行四天三夜的護漁行動。馬英九的72小時最後通牒事宜，菲律賓總統府馬拉坎南宮下午發表官方聲明，稱對事件感到哀傷。

佛誕節慶祝大會上，原本要出席的菲律賓駐台代表白熙禮，臨時缺席，改由副代表參加，而前一天才下達最後通牒的馬總統，對這件事情非常在意。

行政院也有動作，各增派一艘軍艦，保護漁民的安全。

President Ma visited Liouciou this afternoon to express his condolences to the family of Hung Shih-cheng, a fisherman shot by Philippine naval authorities. Ma continued to take a tough stance, even adding extra patrol boats to protect fishermen in territorial waters for the next four days and three nights. As for Ma's 72-hour ultimatum, the Philippine Presidential Office responded this afternoon with an official statement expressing its condolences. 

The Philippine de facto ambassador to Taiwan, Antonio Basilio, was to attend a Buddha's birthday festival celebration today, though he was visibly absent and replaced by a deputy from the Philippine office. Yesterday, President Ma issued a 72-hour ultimatum which many are continuing to watch closely.

Cash for Clunkers
The Cabinet is considering another round of its clash for clunkers program. Vehicle owners would just need to scrap a 15-year-old vehicle to receive a NT$30,000 subsidy for a new car or a NT$4,000 subsidy for a new scooter. Automobile and scooter dealers are hopeful that the plan is implemented and are encouraging the government to give a timetable.

New Railway Spokesman
To celebrate its 126th anniversary Taiwan Railways is having beloved comic book character Old Master Q serve as a spokesman. The Old Master comics are also featured on five new designs used to decorate railway lunchboxes. The railways began selling the lunchboxes at five stations on Monday.

偉殷戰雙城

金鶯雙城第三戰，陳偉殷主投五局沒有失分，表現出色，但卻因為右斜肌拉傷提前退場，後援投手從第六局開始接力投球，完全壓制雙城反攻，金鶯終場就以6:0擊敗雙城，陳偉殷拿下本季第三勝，金鶯在美聯東區還落後洋基一場勝差。

Potential injury puts damper on Chen Wei-yin victory (2013/05/13)

Trainers will need to examine Baltimore Orioles’ pitcher Chen Wei-yin to determine if he suffered a cramp or a right oblique strain. The former would mean Chen could make his next start, the latter a trip to the DL and significant time missed. Before feeling pain in his oblique area Chen had a strong outing against the Minnesota Twins, throwing 73 pitches over five scoreless innings. 

The day started off well for Chen. Before taking the mound, Orioles first baseman Chris Davis staked him a lead.

In each of the first three innings the Orioles scored. Adam Jones sent this ball into the stands.

Despite giving up five hits, Chen always found his way out of trouble.

郵電雙漲

天氣越來越悶熱，可能已經有不少人，開始吹電扇和冷氣，但6月開始，恐怕要節制點了！因為下個月起，電費是夏季的價格，每度電會比現在貴13%到25%，換算下來，每個月會增加147元的電費。而且就連國際郵資，6月也要調漲。

開燈、吹冷氣，以後都得節制點了！6月起，夏月電價上路，電費漲幅高達13%~25%，用電越多，荷包傷的越兇，民眾感嘆，日子只會越來越難過。

除了電漲價外，郵費也是!下個月開始，國際函件掛號費，要從45元漲到65元，漲幅超過4成，[[cg in]]針對國際郵件的保價費，也改為1千元以下就收20元，每增加1千元，也從4元調高到10元。[[cg out]]

郵電漲價，薪水凍漲，民眾真的吃不消。

Electricity and postal fees go higher next month (2013/05/13)

Price hikes continue, though salaries don’t seem to be rising. Next month consumers will face higher electricity costs when summer rates take effect. International postage fees will also increase. 

Turning on the lights or air conditioner will be a little more expensive when summer rates take effect in June. People may need to exercise restraint as electricity rates will rise between 13 and 25 percent. This will make the summer heat a little more unbearable.

“The cost of running the fan or the air conditioner will go up, but salaries remain stagnant. We can’t handle the sharp rise in prices.”

In addition to higher electricity prices, postage rates are increasing. Starting next month the cost of sending a registered international letter will increase from NT$45 to NT$65, a rise of more than 40 percent. The cost of insuring international mail will increase to NT$20 for up to NT$1,000 in coverage, with each additional NT$1,000 in coverage rising from NT$4 to NT$10.
