A driver, who was pulled over for speeding, tried to switch places with his dog to avoid arrest, police in Colorado said.

An officer watched him maneuvering inside the car before he got out on the passenger side on Saturday night in Springfield, a town of about 1,300 people on the state’s Eastern Plains, police said in a Facebook post Sunday.

Winter waves in the Sea of Okhotsk have strengthened by 12 to 15 percent on average per decade since the 1980s as global warming has shrunk flow-blocking sea ice and drift ice, data showed.

the Sapporo-based Civil Engineering Research Institute for Cold Region, used three types of observation data provided from Japan, the United States and Europe to run simulations of waves over the past 40 years in the Sea of Okhotsk from December to February.

A self-exiled Chinese businessman charged in a $1 billion fraud case will remain behind bars after a federal judge rejected a proposed $25 million bail package Thursday, saying there was clear and convincing evidence he would remain an economic threat and a flight risk if he were freed.

Officials at a hospital in western Germany have expressed regret after it emerged that one of their surgeons got a cleaner to assist in a toe amputation.

Public broadcaster SWR reported that the incident at the Mainz University Hospital, which happened in 2020, didn’t result in any complications to the patient but the doctor has since been fired.
