漁村新景點

許多農民都用牛隻耕作，你有聽過漁民也用牛車來出海撈蚵嗎？其實這是位於彰化芳苑的傳統技藝，而新北市金山的磺港也有一種，用火來吸引魚群的捕魚法，叫做「蹦火仔」。由於這兩種補撈法古老又環保，漁業署特別規劃為特色漁村，加以推廣。

海面上漆黑一片，但船長一點燃磺火，青鱗魚馬上聚集，在海面上彈跳，這種傳統的捕魚方式，叫做「蹦火子仔」流傳了70多年，現在只剩下金山的磺港還繼續使用。

“現在面臨一個漁業傳承問題，所以這幾年藉由於漁業活動推廣，讓大家可以認識什麼叫做蹦火仔”

做著牛車，不是種田，而是出海撈蚵，這裡是彰化芳苑，但隨著科技進步，漁民紛紛改用機器，坐著海牛出海的畫面，越來越少見。

“我自己去年也去坐了這個車子，坐出去滿有意思的，漁村文化我們會讓他盡量維持下來，休閒漁業的收入，對漁民不無好處，也讓民眾多一種休閒方式”

漁業署把「新北市金山蹦火仔」及「彰化芳苑海牛採蚵樂」兩處具有地方特色的休閒漁業亮點旅遊，推廣給民眾，體驗漁村傳統技藝與文化。

Fisheries Agency doing its best to keep old fishing traditions alive (2013/06/06)

Taiwan has a number of fishing traditions that are slowly dying out. The Fisheries Agency is now showcasing these traditions as distinctive tourist attractions to keep them alive, whether using sulfuric fire to catch fish or riding oxcarts to sea to harvest oysters. 

Fishermen use a sulfuric fire to light up the pitch black night. Drawn by the light, scaled sardines congregate and ripple the water’s surface. This traditional Taiwanese fishing method has been around for more than 70 years, but the only place where it’s still used is in the Jinshan area on Taiwan’s northern coast.

We’re now facing the problem of passing on old fishing traditions. So these past few years we’ve promoted special activities to let everybody know what sulfuric fire fishing is.

新鮮人起薪

又到了畢業生，踏出校門的時刻，根據勞委會公布的最新調查，去年大學畢業生的起薪，跟14年前相比，大減740元。 

去年畢業生的平均薪資，和14年前相比，雖然增加938元，但增加的幅度不到4%，物價早已上漲15%。

Stagnant Salaries (2013/06/06)

As graduation season approaches, the outlook remains dim for new jobseekers. According to the latest Council of Labor Affairs report, the average monthly starting salary of university graduates last year was NT$740 lower than 14 years earlier. 

When graduates of technical and graduate schools are included, their average salaries have increased over the past 14 years by an average of NT$938 a month. But that only represents an increase of 4 percent during a time period in which inflation rose by 15 percent.

北韓提談判

北韓自從去年十二月成功發射衛星後，朝鮮半島就陷入緊張，北韓還陸續進行核試爆，並發射飛彈，報復美韓一直進行聯合軍演。就連兩韓合作開發的開城工業區都被北韓關閉。南韓一度提出和談條件，但遭北韓斷然拒絕，如今北韓釋出善意，表示願意和南韓談。

六日北韓在官方電視台宣佈，願意和南韓重啟和談，讓開城工業區正常運作。此外，北韓還釋出另一項善意，那就是開放北韓著名的金剛山旅遊景點。

在工業區裡﹐超過120家的南韓工廠聘用了五萬多北韓人. 南韓四月份就已經向北韓提議，針對開城工業區談談，但是北韓並沒有回應，讓南韓顏面盡失，但這次南韓正面的回應開城工業區重啟的和談。

不過南韓總統朴槿惠表示，北韓如果不徹底開放，經濟是不會好轉的。

雖然目前沒有更多的細節，在兩韓的重啟開城工業區合作上，但這暫時性的協議，可能指出朝鮮半島緊張局勢，因為北韓之前的文攻武赫，有些轉機。

North, South Korea agree to talks on reopening joint industrial zone (2013/06/06)

The Korean Peninsula has been shrouded in tensions since the North conducted a nuclear test on Feb. 12. The strife eventually led Pyongyang to suspend operations at a jointly-run industrial zone just inside North Korea’s border. On Thursday, the two sides appeared to agree to holding talks on reopening the zone. 

North Korea official media announced on June 6 that it was willing to discuss normalizing operations at the Kaesong industrial zone with the South. It also proposed discussing the resumption of tours to Mt. Kumgang.

More than 120 South Korean manufacturers employed some 53,000 North Korean workers in the zone, and in April the South proposed talks on resuming operations there. Pyongyang did not respond, causing Seoul to lose face. But the South responded positively to the North’s offer this time around.

國十大死因

衛生署公佈了台灣人去年最新十大死因，癌症依舊第1名。癌症當中，肺癌、肝癌和腸癌為前三名，而台灣人的平均年齡，男性是76.5歲，女性是83歲，比起去年稍有增長。

最新去年國人十大死因出爐，第1名仍是癌症，連續31年冠軍，其次是心臟疾病，腦血管疾病，肺炎等，和去年相比，變化不大。

“這些癌症的主要危險因子，也就是我們所知道的吸菸、嚼檳榔、飲酒，還有不規律運動和不健康飲食。”

其中最難纏的癌症排行則為，肺癌、肝癌、腸癌等。

“癌症死亡率下降比較明顯的是子宮頸癌，口腔癌在這近十年來，死亡率約成長了15%，男性比女性死亡率高出非常多的癌症大概高到11倍到14倍”

官員表示跟正常飲食和生活習慣，就是防治癌症的第一步。 不過去年台灣人平均壽命有小幅增加。

Cancer leading cause of death in Taiwan for 31st straight year (2013/06/06)

The Department of Health announced on Thursday the leading causes of death in Taiwan last year. Once again cancer took the top spot. 

2012 marked the 31st year in a row that cancer was Taiwan’s leading cause of death. It was followed by heart disease, cerebrovascular disease and pneumonia. Results were similar to 2011.

The main risk factors associated with these cancers are the usual suspects: smoking, chewing betel nut, drinking, a lack of regular exercise and poor diet. 

台菸酒違法

中國酒類除了伏特加外，通通不能進口，不過，立委趙天麟爆料，台灣菸酒公司竟然"官兵做強盜"，在101年間，走私中國的迎賓酒，在報關時，以「加味伏特加酒」的名義曚混過關，和玉山高粱混合加工後，再銷往中國，賺取暴利逾24億。今天檢調單位，也前往嘉義酒廠搜索！

檢調單位，出動大批人馬，前往嘉義酒廠搜索，查扣2700瓶台灣典藏茅台酒，和1400公升中國茅台酒。

檢調會這麼大動作，是因為民進黨立委趙天麟踢爆，台灣菸酒公司走私中國茅台酒，在加工後，以人民幣一千到五千，賣到中國，謀取暴利24億。

“就是由49%的貴州迎賓酒，也就是茅台酒，加上玉山高梁51%，加在裡面變成了這一瓶，所謂的台灣典藏茅台酒，更可惡的是，他用伏特加的名義進口，規避走私條例裡面，不得用虛偽名稱報關的規定”

不過台灣菸酒公司董事長，否認走私。

“應當是廠商間的行為，應當不是我們公司的，這種進口的行為”

儘管台酒從矢口否認，趙天麟呼籲，台酒高層立刻停職接受調查。

TTL denies smuggling accusations (2013/06/06)

The chairman of Taiwan Tobacco and Liquor has denied startling accusations against his company. According to DPP Legislator Chao Tien-ling the corporation has earned billions of NT dollars by smuggling in Chinese liquor, rebranding it as a high-grade Taiwan beverage, then selling it back to Chinese consumers. 

A large contingent of investigators visited this Chiayi liquor factory to gather evidence. They seized 2,700 bottles of Taiwan Moutai liquor and 1,400 liters of Chinese Moutai liquor.

The investigation came after DPP Legislator Chao Tien-ling exposed an alleged smuggling operation involving the Taiwan Tobacco and Liquor Corporation. Apparently Taiwan Liquor has been illegally importing Chinese Moutai liquor, a kind of white spirit. It then allegedly processed it and sold it to Chinese consumers for between 1,000 and 5,000 renminbi a bottle, earning NT$2.4 billion in the process.
