Frank: I can’t believe I’m seeing the Red Hot Chili Peppers!
Greg: I know. They rock even harder live!
Frank: A little too hard—my ears are starting to ring.
Greg: That’s why everybody’s wearing 1)earplugs. Here, I brought you a pair.
Frank: That’s better. Wow, the bass player is awesome!
Greg: Yeah, Flea is one of the best in the world. His mohawk may be going gray, but he’s still got it.
Frank: Definitely. Hey, look—the lead singer just dived off the stage! He’s crowd surfing!
Greg: Wow. Anthony Kiedis must be pushing fifty. I hope he doesn’t break a hip, ha-ha!

這是一種揶揄別人像老人一樣的幽默說法，開玩笑說都老到都要跌斷骨盆了。

...you name it 你說得出的都有

name (v.)為「列舉」的意思，you name it 通常接在一長串的名單之後，因為多到不想再舉例，乾脆跟對方說「只要你說得出來的都有。」

burst sb’s bubble 潑冷水

bubble 在這句話裡有點像「自己的小世界」之意。burst 是爆開，戳破意思，所以合起來就是潑別人冷水的意思。

克莉絲蒂好像喜歡我，我要約她出去。

over the top 太誇張了，太超過了

 

這個說法可以是正面或負面形容。正面是描述某事比想象中更好。負面則是形容某件事情或動作太過極端，或是花了過多時間精力做了某事情，不大合宜。 

A: How did you like the movie? 
你覺得那部電影怎樣？ 

B: it wasn’t bad, but the ending was a little over the top. 
不差，但是結尾有點太誇張了。
