胖達人退費

胖達人麵包添加香料色素,風波延燒一個多月,全台店家10月1號起開放退費,消費者除了得攜帶發票和身分證之外,要退費前還得簽署"退費和解書",引發不少退費民眾反彈,因為上頭得留下名字、身分證字號和地址,而且簽署後,就不得再有任何的"民事請求",民眾說,感受不到胖達人的誠意。

胖達人麵包退費第一天,消費者交出發票後,想拿到錢,得先經過這一關。

店員拿出"退費和解書",白紙黑字簽下名,民眾首先得保證,沒有參與消費者團體訴訟求償,也願意拋棄一切民事請求權,再來還得留下身分證和住址,麻煩的流程,惹惱一早退費民眾。

另外,為期兩個月的退費時間內,還規定了特定時段才能退。這樣的層層限制,已經開始收到442件民眾申請,協助進行團體訴訟的消基會表示,要是胖達人退費不如預期,將考慮延長原為9/30的收件期限,開放更多人加入團訟。

 

Top Pot Bakery criticized for complicated refund process (2013/10/01)

More than a month after consumers learned that Top Pot Bakery’s products didn’t live up to their all-natural claim, the bakery has finally begun issuing cash refunds. But the complicated process is only further angering customers. 

Top Pot Bakery began issuing cash refunds today. Consumers were asked to not only surrender receipts but also pass through another administrative hurdle.

Bakery staff presented a legal settlement document, requiring each person to sign.

Customers getting a refund had to guarantee that they were not involved in any litigation against the company, and signing this statement effectively waived rights to a civil claim. 

Those seeking refunds also had to provide their ID number and address. The cumbersome process annoyed people who were already waiting a long time for a refund.

In addition, consumers complained that the company is offering just a two-month period to settle claims, and refunds can only be processed at certain times of day.

Top Pot’s worries may be far from over, as the Consumers’ Foundation already has 442 people willing to file a class action suit. The foundation could also extend last month’s deadline for joining the suit if Top Pot fails to follow through on its refund promises.
