伴手禮大展

為期四天的台灣伴手禮名品展進入第二天，有業者獨立設攤，但也有不少選擇和地方政府合作，像是雲林伴手禮精品館，就設了一個大攤位展現雲林的咖啡、紅蘿蔔汁等當地特產。想要一舉品嘗各地特產的民眾，可以到台北世貿展覽館逛況。

婚紗搶商機

同樣在台北世貿展覽館展出的還有台北婚紗博覽會，主題走奢華黃金風格，除了婚紗、飾品，而喜宴業者也推出一系列將金箔入菜的的黃金宴。台北婚紗博覽會將展到禮拜一。

台中旅展

同樣展到禮拜一的還有在台中世貿中心的國際旅展，總共邀集318家旅行社、飯店等業者進駐，國內有住宿業者，下殺到2.8折，國外短程線也有2成的折價空間。

Taiwan Souvenir Exhibition
A four-day Taiwan souvenir exhibition will continue through the weekend at Taipei World Trade Center. While several vendors have individual displays, others are cooperating with local governments. A special Yunlin display features local coffee, carrot juice and other products. The exhibition offers an excellent chance to try a variety of local Taiwanese specialties in one location.

Wedding Exhibition
Also taking place at the Taipei World Trade Center is a wedding exhibition. Besides lavish wedding dresses and apparel, banquet merchants have made typical wedding fare more opulent through gold leaf infusions. The wedding exhibition lasts through Monday.

International Travel Fair
At the World Trade Center Taichung an international travel fair is taking place through Monday. Over 300 travel agents, hotels and other merchants are present, many offering steep discounts on domestic and international trips.

機上正副駕駛兩人幸運獲救，只有輕微擦傷。事故並未釀成爆炸，也沒波及人車。是人為因素或者是機械因素造成，目前軍方已經成立專案小組，著手調查當中。

The Army has grounded its fleet of Apache helicopters after one crashed into a building during a training exercise today. 

The accident, which occurred in Taoyuan, is suspected to have been caused by a mechanical failure. Fortunately, the pilot and co-pilot on board were rescued and suffered only minor abrasions.

呼應林義雄禁食行動，週六民間反核團體，爸爸非核陣線，先發起反核路跑活動，之後換綠盟接力，佔領凱道！但眼看前民進黨席林義雄，禁食後身體漸漸變差，導演柯一正就說，一旦林義雄出狀況，和平理性的活動，也可能變調，呼籲馬政府趕緊出面解決。

一箱又一箱的物資，旁邊的反核T恤、帽子也全部打包，為週六登場的反核路跑，做足準備。

除了號碼牌、核災宣導手冊，還包括反核毛巾、腰包，以及象徵核廢料的存錢筒，非核爸爸陣線，要號召全民，一起上街爭取非核家園。

那在這裡也呼籲所有民眾理性 和平，但也要呼籲馬政府，要預防民眾衝突最好的方式是，你悔悟 立即停建核四。

路跑當天還會有象徵核電廠的怪獸，緊跟參加民眾後頭。


但眼看前民進黨主席林義雄，持續禁食，身體健康令人擔憂，導演柯一正就說，一旦林義雄出狀況，恐怕將引起群情激憤。

對我們來說，林義雄像是精神上的領導人物，你到禮拜六禮拜天，你不能有妥善的處理，一個老先生他身體越來越衰弱的話，我覺得那個局勢，不是他(馬英九)能控制跟收拾的。

反核路跑完，綠盟再接棒，下午三點發起佔領凱道活動，將持續到4/27號早上。

Anti-nuclear groups and a pan-green alliance have a slate of anti-nuclear activities planned for Saturday. They will hold a protest run and occupy an area in front of the Presidential Office as a way of expressing opposition to the Fourth Nuclear Power Plant. 

Box after box of anti-nuclear T-shirts and hats are being readied for Saturday’s anti-nuclear road race. 

In addition to numbers for the runners and manuals instructing people about what to do in case of a nuclear disaster, other items such as towels, purses, and piggy banks are being offered by the anti-nuclear NGO Papa No Nuke. Organizers are calling on everyone to turn out for a nuclear-free homeland

We ask everyone to act rationally and peacefully. We also warn the Ma administration that the best way to prevent civil strife is to show regret and immediately halt the project.

The road race will include a nuclear monster that will chase runners from behind. 

Film director Ko Yi-cheng said that concerns for the health of former DPP Chairman Lin Yi-hsiung, who is continuing his hunger fast, may enrage participants.

Lin Yi-hsiung is like a spiritual leader to us. If proper treatment is not given Saturday or Sunday, this old man will keep getting weaker and weaker. I think the situation is something that (President Ma) can neither control nor repair.

Later in the day, a pan-green alliance will take over activities. It has planned an occupation of Ketagalan Boulevard that will begin at 3 pm and continue until the following morning.

“一個年紀這麼大的人，禁食四天其實對身體上的煎熬，大家是很難以想像的，我們希望馬總統能拿出總統的高度，其實停建核四的訴求相當清楚，不要再像我們在服貿抗爭，一再用跳針 一再用矯飾的言語，來呼弄民眾 請正視人民的訴求”

馬總統不想停建核四，中研院副研究員黃國昌也解讀，政府就怕核四一停建，會失了面子。 

Friday was the fourth day of former DPP Chairman Lin Yi-hsiung’s hunger strike. Among those who expressed support for his cause today were leaders of the recent protests against the cross-Taiwan Strait services trade pact. 

This is Lin Yi-hsiung coming out to express gratitude to supporters. The hunger strike is taking a visible toll on his body. Compared to a photo from day one of his fast, Lin’s face seems dull and haggard. But he appeared stable when walking and was unwavering in his opposition to nuclear power. 

A leader of the Sunflower Movement took to Facebook to show support, writing that if Lin falls, the Ma government must fall with him. Paying a visit to the site of Lin’s hunger strike were student leaders Lin Fei-fan and Chen Wei-ting, together with Academia Sinica member Huang Kuo-chang.

It’s hard to image the toll that a four-day hunger strike can have on a person this old. The request to end construction on the Fourth Nuclear Power Plant is clear. We hope President Ma can use his position to meet this request, instead of repeating the endless cagey speech he used during the services trade pact protests.

According to Huang, the government is unwilling to let construction on the plant end because it fears loss of face.

馬蘇會沒有共識，只有針鋒相對，這讓蘇貞昌忍不住幾次提到正在禁食中的林義雄，他說林義雄母親和雙胞胎女兒慘死，但林義雄卻從來沒有對掌權者報復，台灣人對不起林義雄，不過，馬總統不為所動，仍然堅持核四不能停建，公投門檻也不能降。

馬蘇會進行五十分鐘後，眼看馬總統堅持核四不能停建，公投門檻也不能降，蘇貞昌再也忍不住，提到了正在禁食中的林義雄。

我在林前主席坐下來四天前，就給你公開信，現在他已經坐第四天了，他坐的地方，就是他媽媽被殺的地方，就是他兩個雙胞胎女兒被殺的地方。林義雄他沒有對掌權者有多少怨言，我們台灣人欠他太多了。

只是總統都還沒回應，一旁的副總統吳敦義先搶答。

會談結束前，蘇貞昌還拿出事前準備好的，林義雄新書，送給馬總統。將近一個半小時的馬蘇會，馬蘇只有針鋒相對，毫無交集。

As President Ma and Chairman Su debated the Fourth Nuclear Power Plant, a former DPP chairman continued his hunger strike. Sympathy for Lin Yi-hsiung, a long opponent of nuclear power, was used by Su as an example of why work on the plant should be halted.

After 50 minutes of discussion, where President Ma insisted work on the Fourth Nuclear Power Plant could not stop and the referendum voter turnout threshold could not be lowered, Su Tseng-chang decided to bring up Lin Yi-hsiung.

Four days ago as I sat down with former Chairman Lin Yi-hsung, I gave you this open letter. Now, Lin’s hunger strike is already in its fourth day, and the location is where his mother and twin girls were murdered. Lin doesn’t express animosity toward those in power when in fact the Taiwanese people owe him so much.

Su says he remembers the Lin family massacre vividly. He added that the public could no longer wait to decide the fate of the Fourth Nuclear Power Plant.

Before the meeting concluded, Su presented Ma with a copy of Lin’s new book. If today’s meeting is any indication, it will be unlikely to sway the president.
