手記與悔文
洪仲丘案中的關鍵證物消失的可不只監視器畫面，洪仲丘服役期間，依規定要每週撰寫的大兵手記，本來被軍方指稱不見了，現在軍方找到了，不過日期停在去年12月，而且跟軍中弟兄手中的版本也不一樣。
軍方出示的洪仲丘大兵日記，最後一篇日記，撰寫時間竟然是去年12月，形同這半年來，洪仲丘完全沒碰手記本。家屬質疑，難到軍方都不管。

“為什麼他們可以容許，就是弟弟那麼久沒有寫，這個原因是什麼，可能我們要問他的輔導長，因為他必須關心他每一個裡面的士兵跟官兵。已經超過半年沒有寫，真的是有一點誇張”
再看看這本乍看之下好像跟一般的大兵日記一模一樣的洪仲丘大兵日記，有自稱是洪仲丘同梯的民眾爆料，好像有問題。
仔細看裝訂方式，民眾提供的是膠邊裝訂，和軍方版本的活頁本有出入。
如果有人要動手腳拿下，可以完全不留痕跡，也讓家屬進一步懷疑，或許洪仲丘有寫，但被掩蓋了。

大兵日誌，必須經過包括排長、副排長、輔導長等長官審閱，軍方想僅僅以洪仲丘沒寫來交待，恐怕很難服眾。

Another key piece of evidence in the death of Hung Chung-chiu is incomplete soldier’s log. According to regulations, soldiers are required to fill out a weekly diary, though Hung’s most recent entry came at the end of last year. A person who says he served with Hung questioned the diary’s authenticity.
Hung Chung-chiu’s soldier diary was displayed to the media, though his final entry was in December of last year. This means he did not write an entry over the past half year. Hung’s family questioned this finding, saying it’s hard to believe that the military would allow him to do this.

How can they tolerate my younger brother not making an entry for so long? Should we ask the counselor who is supposed to care for the soldiers and officers? Not making an entry in more than half a year is a little excessive.
At first glance, the diary looks like the ones used by other soldiers, though a person who says he served with Hung believes there are problems.
Hung’s former colleague says the military’s official diary is made with an adhesive binding, though Hung’s diary has a metal, loose-leaf binder.
An individual could have simply removed Hung’s handwritten entries and covered up any potential evidence.

We have good reason to suspect that key information was inside.
A soldier’s diary is typically reviewed by a platoon’s leaders and deputy leader as well as the company counselor. Hung’s family finds it hard to believe that he would go six months without writing in his diary.
