政大地政系教授徐世榮昨天聲援大埔民眾，在向馬總統大喊訴求時，遭警方強制逮捕，最後被士林地檢署請回，今天他出面質疑，警方是受到國安單位施壓，才會執法過當。

它的罪名它的構成要件，是說這個被告的行為，他已經影響往來的危險，而且程度必須嚴重到，損壞或擁塞道路的程度。

國安單位他認得我，國安單位不斷地要求警察一定要把我驅離，(警察)他們非常緊張，會受到上級的處罰，如果我有任何的動作。
學者質疑國安單位施壓，並且要求，馬政府必須在八月十八號，也就是苗栗縣政府強拆大埔四戶事件滿一個月之前，回應他們的四項訴求，包括道歉賠償、地歸原主、徹查弊案，和立即修法。
遭到粗暴對待的徐世榮，強調會繼續以和平理性方式表達訴求，此外，還有20位學者連署，痛批警方執法過當，應該追溯違法濫權的公務員。
Professor in Dapu protest says national security officials ordered his detention (2013/07/24)
National Chengchi University professor Hsu Shih-jung accuses the presidential security detail of pressuring police to detain him during a protest Tuesday. Hsu was handled roughly while demonstrating against forced demolitions in Miaoli County’s Dapu Township at an event attended by the president.
On Tuesday, Hsu Shih-jung was taken into custody on suspicion of endangering public safety and obstructing public affairs. After Hsu was released by district court prosecutors, his lawyer asked if the police had overstepped their bounds.

To issue criminal charges the defendant had to have endangered people passing through the area. His actions must have been serious enough to damage property or cause traffic jams.

National security officers recognized me and kept asking the police to expel me. The police were very nervous. They worried they would be punished by their superiors if I took any action.
Scholars suspect that national security officers pressured police to crack down on Dapu protesters. Before Aug. 18, which marks the month-long anniversary of the demolition of Dapu residences by the Miaoli County government, the scholars demand that the Ma administration meet four demands. They want it to issue an apology and compensation to displaced landowners, return seized land, investigate alleged fraud cases and amend regulations.
Hsu promised to continue issuing his demands in a peaceful, rational manner, despite the rough handling by police. Also, 20 scholars signed a petition criticizing what they deem excessive force by the police. They are urging the government to investigate abuse by public officials.
