總統馬英九的媽媽秦厚修女士，日前不幸病逝，今天上午舉行火化儀式，她的骨灰罈安厝在富德公墓靈骨樓內，與亡夫馬鶴凌相伴。

馬總統手拿媽媽秦厚修女士的遺照，走在棺木後面，後頭跟著夫人周美青、兩個女兒及馬總統的四位姐妹及家人，一起送媽媽最後一程。

大姐馬以南也宣讀親手寫的祭文。

兩位孫女馬唯中跟馬元中，更是泣不成聲。

秦厚修女士的喪禮不設靈堂，不辦公祭，一切從簡。遺體火化後，秦厚修女士的骨灰罈最後送往富德公墓的靈骨樓，與馬鶴凌先生的塔位放在一起。

送走了最愛的媽媽，馬總統也帶領家人，用鞠躬表達感謝。

In a private ceremony today President Ma Ying-jeou bid farewell to his mother, Chin Hou-hsiu. Guests were mostly limited to close family and friends who paid their respects after Chin’s passing Friday at the age of 91 of acute respiratory failure. 

While holding a photo of his late mother, President Ma Ying-jeou walked behind the coffin. Behind him was first lady Chow Mei-ching, the president’s two daughters, four sisters and other family members.

We know that you never stopped worrying about our brother, so we will definitely care for and support him. Dad always spoke so highly of you. I ask that you have a good journey, and we five children look forward to again being your son and daughters in the next world.

The president’s daughters cried heavily.

The funeral was simple, with no special prayer memorial and no public service. After cremation, Chin’s remains were to be placed beside her husband’s at a Taipei columbarium.

警政署找旅遊節目主持人Janet，擔任預防犯罪代言人，她接下代言不只是玩玩而已，做到連男警察都不一定能做到的事，6天密集訓練，讓她能跟霹靂小組同時從15樓一躍而下，滑降到6樓，真的是藝高人膽大。

登上15樓凌空躍下，很多人光看就暈了，Janet卻採用正面朝下的姿勢，緊抓繩索腳蹬牆壁，滑降30公尺高度，順利降落到6樓陽台，與其他霹靂小組成員，一起完成任務。

為了代言警政署犯罪預防大使，Janet事前還接受6天嚴格訓練。

從3樓高度「基本款」開始慢慢練習，最後要從刑事局科技大樓往下跳，真跳總共六次，在媒體面前則是第七次。

特別的是，Janet的媽媽全程觀賞，卻毫無擔心緊張的情緒。

Travel host Janet Hsieh teamed up with the National Police Agency to showcase another one of her talents, fighting crime. After training with a local Thunder Squad SWAT team as part of a promotional campaign, Janet rappelled off a 15-story building. 

Many people get dizzy when standing on the 15th floor of a building but not Janet. She rappelled down the side of this building clutching only a rope, descending some 30 meters with little effort before landing on the sixth floor balcony. She did this feat with other members of a local SWAT team.

Descending in a position parallel to the ground means you have to look directly down. Everyone looks very small and even cars look small. If you look this way, you need to lower your heartbeat. The first step is the hardest, though there is little to think about after you make that step. 

Janet completed this task as part of her role as a National Police Agency crime prevention ambassador. The assignment included six days in advanced police training.

Rappelling began with basic training from a height of just three floors, and in the end, she was able to descend from a Criminal Investigation Bureau building. She descended from this building seven times, with the media recording her final jump.

A special guest in the audience was Janet’s mother, who was confident her daughter could successfully complete the descent.

銀合歡曾經是澎湖人早年煮飯燒水用的柴火，但隨著時代進步，古灶被油瓦斯爐取代，也讓銀合歡失去舞台，反倒變成澎湖人發展觀光的夢魘，澎湖縣政府從去年開始進行鏟除，更廣植美麗天人菊以及薰衣草花海等，果然增加觀光效益。

紅黃色交替的覆輪狀花盤，這是天人菊，一整片花海，實在好美，這裡其實是在澎湖，這也吸引業餘攝影師來獵取美景。

“(網路上)看到有人拍照，就是照到我們這邊(天人菊花海) ，想說平常在路邊都有 ，但好像沒有看過這麼大片 這麼漂亮的”

這一大片綠色的，就是銀合歡，早年澎湖人用它來煮飯燒水，隨著時代進步，會抑制其他植物生長的銀合歡，反倒澎湖發展觀光夢魘。因此澎湖縣從去年開始剷除13公頃銀合歡，再編300多萬進行綠美化，如今天人菊綻放，形成美麗花海。

澎湖今年將準備再除掉20公頃銀合歡，就希望利用這些地方，種更多品種的花，能吸引更多人潮。

The Penghu County government has begun to see benefits of a program that involves clearing invasive plant species to make way for flowers. Tourists attracted to the archipelago’s beautiful landscape are posting photos online and in turn encouraging more tourists to visit. 

Perennials known by the name “firewheel” fill the landscape with streaks of red and yellow. The beauty of this sea of flowers attracts amateur photographers to Penghu.

I saw photographs of this field online. Often I see these flowers beside the road, but I hadn’t seen such big and beautiful ones.

This is white popinac. In the past, local residents used it as fuel to boil water, but now it is seen as an invasive species that crowds out other plants. Last year, the Penghu County government cleared 13 hectares and spent more than NT$3 million planting more desirable species, such as the firewheel plants seen today.

You can see many tourists taking photos. These resources increase visibility of Penghu’s tourism industry.

This year Penghu plans to clear another 20 hectares of white popinac fields. It will continue to plant flowers in order to encourage more tourists to visit.

台灣國際遊艇展，即將在下週四登場，今天開始已經有不少遊艇準備進駐高雄展覽館，由於這些遊艇都重達上百噸，因此主辦單位還找來大型吊車，從海面上將遊艇吊起，晚間就會利用拖板車，將八艘遊艇，以陸運的方式，運載到展覽館內陳列。

台灣唯一一部750噸的大型吊車，從空中將遊艇架放入水面，緊接著遊艇慢慢開進來，等到確定安全無慮之後，就能進行吊掛作業。

“船架要對遊艇的記號，如果說沒有對記號，船身會去傷害到 船的底，會傷到 第二就是要調水平，如果說沒有水平 吊起來，會很危險 擔心會滑下去”

由於這些遊艇重量都在100噸以上，每艘都要上千萬到上億元，工作人員必須小心翼翼把它們停放到拖板車上。

遊艇上岸後，再將衛星系統進行組裝、緊接著還要進行清洗作業。

“碼頭跟展覽館是非常近，所以整個的吊掛作業，也是只有在高雄港有辦法，去完成這些事情，所以現在這個(遊艇)展，不只是台灣第一個，而且也是亞洲第一啦”

台灣國際遊艇展，將在八號登場。

Luxury yachts have begun arriving in Kaohsiung for next week’s opening of the Taiwan International Boat Show. Today a large crane hoisted some yachts onto tractor-trailers so they could be transferred to the exhibition center. 

Taiwan’s only 750-ton crane is placing a special rack into the water to help it lift this luxury yacht. After everything is secure, it begins to lift the boat from the water.

The boat rack must line up properly with the yacht. If it doesn’t, there will be damage to the hull and the bottom of the boat. Secondly, the boat should be perfectly level. If it’s not done properly, it can slide dangerously. 

Due to the extreme weight of these yachts and costs ranging from NT$10 million to 100 million, staff must be careful positioning them in the exhibition center.

After the yacht is dry docked, a satellite system needs to be assembled, which is followed by a thorough cleaning.

The harbor is very close to the exhibition hall, so this use of the crane (for large yachts) is only possible in Kaohsiung. This type of (yacht) exhibition is not just the first of its kind in Taiwan but also a first in Asia.

立法院交通委員會昨天初審通過'鐵路法'草案，提高賣黃牛票罰責，從過去一筆交易，開罰1千元，改為賣多少張，罰多少張，罰金最高為票價到10倍。另外草案也明訂，使用違法程式大量訂票，同樣能開罰最高50萬元。

每逢假期，花東幹線幾乎是一票難求，但很多車票，卻是被黃牛集團訂走，甚至加價出售，嚴重影響民眾權益。為此交通部修改'鐵路法'草案，決定提高罰責。

“現在就是用車票的價格，就說你賣一張車票，用車票票面價格，1到10倍 來作為處罰基準”

過去是採取一筆交易開罰一千元。現在則是賣多少張，就罰多少張，罰金上限是票價10倍。不只如此，草案也禁止以違法程式，大量訂票，一但發現，可開罰5萬到50萬元不等。

台鐵祭出重罰，就是希望能遏止黃牛票歪風。

A draft amendment to stamp out railway ticket scalping is making its way through the Legislature. New rules would increase fines for both scalping tickets and using computer programs to make mass purchases. 

When holidays roll around, it is next to impossible to get a seat at a desirable time on railway routes servicing Hualien and Taitung. One reason is many of the tickets are snatched up by scalping agencies which sell them at a premium price. The Ministry of Transportation is attempting to solve this problem with a draft amendment to the Railway Act.

We plan to start basing fines on the price of the ticket. If you scalp a ticket, a fine can be levied of between one and 10 times the face value.

In the past, scalpers received a fine of NT$1,000 per transaction. The new rules would lead to a fine for every ticket sold, up to 10 times the face value. The draft amendment also includes a fine of between NT$50,000 and NT$500,000 for using illegal programs that facilitate volume ticket purchases.
