台灣國際遊艇展,即將在下週四登場,今天開始已經有不少遊艇準備進駐高雄展覽館,由於這些遊艇都重達上百噸,因此主辦單位還找來大型吊車,從海面上將遊艇吊起,晚間就會利用拖板車,將八艘遊艇,以陸運的方式,運載到展覽館內陳列。

台灣唯一一部750噸的大型吊車,從空中將遊艇架放入水面,緊接著遊艇慢慢開進來,等到確定安全無慮之後,就能進行吊掛作業。

“船架要對遊艇的記號,如果說沒有對記號,船身會去傷害到 船的底,會傷到 第二就是要調水平,如果說沒有水平 吊起來,會很危險 擔心會滑下去”

由於這些遊艇重量都在100噸以上,每艘都要上千萬到上億元,工作人員必須小心翼翼把它們停放到拖板車上。

遊艇上岸後,再將衛星系統進行組裝、緊接著還要進行清洗作業。

“碼頭跟展覽館是非常近,所以整個的吊掛作業,也是只有在高雄港有辦法,去完成這些事情,所以現在這個(遊艇)展,不只是台灣第一個,而且也是亞洲第一啦”

台灣國際遊艇展,將在八號登場。

Luxury yachts have begun arriving in Kaohsiung for next week’s opening of the Taiwan International Boat Show. Today a large crane hoisted some yachts onto tractor-trailers so they could be transferred to the exhibition center. 

Taiwan’s only 750-ton crane is placing a special rack into the water to help it lift this luxury yacht. After everything is secure, it begins to lift the boat from the water.

The boat rack must line up properly with the yacht. If it doesn’t, there will be damage to the hull and the bottom of the boat. Secondly, the boat should be perfectly level. If it’s not done properly, it can slide dangerously. 

Due to the extreme weight of these yachts and costs ranging from NT$10 million to 100 million, staff must be careful positioning them in the exhibition center.

After the yacht is dry docked, a satellite system needs to be assembled, which is followed by a thorough cleaning.

The harbor is very close to the exhibition hall, so this use of the crane (for large yachts) is only possible in Kaohsiung. This type of (yacht) exhibition is not just the first of its kind in Taiwan but also a first in Asia.

The Taiwan International Boat Show begins on May 8.
