今天是六四天安門事件25週年，馬總統依照往例，在臉書上發表感言，他呼籲中國平反六四，還舉中華民國訓政時期，也沒有鎮壓異議人士，希望中國保障人民的言論自由。不過，民進黨質疑，馬總統刻意不提解嚴前的高壓統治，甚至最近還以暴力對付學運，也該反省。

President Ma asks Beijing to redress wrongs on Tiananmen Square anniversary (2014/06/04)
On the 25th anniversary of the Tiananmen Square crackdown, President Ma Ying-jeou shared his sentiments on social media. Ma urged Beijing to address the wrongs it incurred while crushing the pro-democracy protest 25 years ago. The DPP, however, asked Ma to examine his own violent reaction to Taiwan’s student led Sunflower Movement.
On the 25th anniversary of the Tiananmen Square crackdown, DPP heavyweights gathered at a press conference to urge Beijing to admit its wrongdoings.
