Another official has been drawn into a high-profile public housing bribery scandal in Taoyuan County. Minister without Portfolio Chien Tai-lang is said to have had close contacts with the developer at the heart of the scandal, Farglory Group Chairman Chao Teng-hsiung, when the project was in the planning stages in 2010. But Chien denied having any involvement in the case or knowing Chao well.
