清標拒政治
會計法修正草案急轉彎，正在服刑的前立委顏清標透過兒子顏寬恆轉述，對於修正草案被稱為「顏清標條款」，他心有不甘，但是對因此無法除罪的其他相關人士，感到很抱歉，還說服完刑，不會再碰政治。
會計法修正草案，讓用公款喝花酒的顏清標受益，被稱為「顏清標條款」，引發輿論撻伐，現在即將重回原點，顏清標之子國民黨立委顏寬恆探視正在台中監獄服刑的父親後，轉述父親的看法。

除了向因為他無法除罪的其他人感到抱歉，顏清標也決定不再碰政治。

顏清標希望，為消弭會計法因人而修的爭議，能待他服刑完畢後再修。
Jailed official regrets becoming face of controversial amendment (2013/06/10)
If as expected the Legislature reconsiders and voids the Accounting Act amendment, it will mean that a prominent official jailed for corruption will have to continue serving his sentence. Former KMT Legislator Yen Ching-piao has become the face of the amendment because many observers feel it was passed in haste to get him out of jail. Through his son Yen expressed regret at this perception.
Yen Ching-piao was to become one of the biggest beneficiaries of the new amendment. It would have eliminated his sentence for using public funds to frequent hostess bars. Media reports are even referring to the amendment as the “Yen Ching-piao article.”
After a trip to Taichung Prison, Yen’s son passed on his father’s thoughts.

Because outside attention is on Yen Ching-piao, the amendment failed. He is sorry for this and insists it’s wrong to call the amendment the Yen Ching-piao article.
The elder Yen believes he is the reason that professors could face criminal charges for abuse of research grants or politicians for abuse of special allowances. He therefore plans to make a sacrifice.

From this time forward, he will neither enter politics nor run in another election. He wants to spend his life serving Matsu.
To distance himself from the amendment, Yen hopes that the Legislature waits until his time in prison ends before taking up the issue again.
