軍配偶中籍

以前有句口號「小心間諜就在你身邊」，現在立委發現，台灣有有70位涉及敏感資料的國軍官兵，包括16名軍官和54位士官，配偶是中國籍。綠營立委憂心，這些中國配偶可能遭到解放軍利用，竊取國家機密。

國防部每年舉辦「國軍集團婚禮」，鼓勵官兵成家、增產報國，不過綠委立委指出，有高達70位接觸或經手國軍敏感業務的弟兄，配偶是中國籍，其中以軍備局20人最多，最高層級是上校。

不過國防部強調，已有配套。“涉及到機敏業務的人員，不管是軍官或者是士官，其實我們都有很多管控的作為，我們會對這些官兵的狀況，會深入的去了解，基本上在安全方面，目前是不會有任何的問題發生”

羅紹和也反駁立委說法，表示70位官兵中，只有1、2位有涉及機敏職務。

Defense Ministry refutes claim that cross-strait marriages put security at risk

DPP lawmakers say there are dozens of Taiwanese officers with access to sensitive information who are married to Chinese nationals. They worry about leaks, though the Ministry of National Defense says the lawmakers are exaggerating the issue and insist that sufficient security measures are in place.

Each year the Ministry of National Defense holds a mass wedding to encourage marriage among those in its ranks. It believes that married soldiers can better serve the country, but some DPP lawmakers are concerned. They say 70 soldiers with access to sensitive information are married to Chinese nationals, including 20 in the Armaments Bureau and at least one colonel.

I have strong suspicions that China’s intelligence agencies are using Chinese women to infiltrate our officers’ ranks. They are establishing a presence here to collect confidential information.

However, the ministry says it has sufficient countermeasures.

We have many control measures in place for everyone in sensitive positions, whether they are officers or sergeants. We go to great lengths to understand the condition of these officers and soldiers. Generally speaking there are no security problems.

Military spokesman David Lo also took issue with the DPP’s claim that as many as 70 soldiers married to Chinese spouses have access to sensitive information. According to Lo, there are only one or two.
