台灣女網一姐謝淑薇與中國搭檔彭帥，在卡達公開賽雙打決賽，以6:4，6:0輕鬆擊敗對手(捷克佩謝克／斯洛維尼亞齊瑞波妮克)，這是兩人合作拿下的第十座冠軍，也是意義非凡的一個里程碑，因為謝彭配的海峽女雙組合，在獲得900分的積分後，彭帥將躍升為世界女雙的球后，謝淑薇則排名2名，一舉創下台灣球員的新紀錄。
靠著對手的再見雙發失誤，謝淑薇與搭檔彭帥，拿下卡達公開賽雙打冠軍。
一開局雙方勢均力敵，不過在第三局時，就靠謝淑薇這唯一的保發，謝彭配才驚險以六比四拿下第一盤。
第二盤謝淑薇和彭帥打出應有的節奏，搭配絕佳默契，打得對手喘不過氣。
謝彭配最後以六比零輕鬆拿下第二盤。這是兩人合作以來拿下的第十座冠軍盃。

這也讓兩人的雙打排名上升到世界前兩名。她們也將一起得到合台幣381萬的冠軍獎金。
Following their recent women’s doubles tennis victory in the Qatar Open, Taiwan’s Hsieh Su-wei and her Chinese partner Peng Shuai are now ranked one and two in women’s doubles tennis. The pair advanced after winning the Qatar Open.
Relying upon their opponent’s double fault, Hsieh Su-wei and her partner Peng Shuai captured the Qatar Open women’s doubles title over opponents Kveta Peschke and Katarina Srebotnik.
In what started out as a close match, Hsieh held serve in the third game to take an early lead. She and Peng held on to win the first set 6-4.
In the second set, Hsieh and Peng found a good rhythm which left their opponent breathless.
Hsieh and Peng cruised in the second set, winning by a score of 6:0. It was the 10th WTA finals that the pair captured together.

I couldn’t say anything because we get in the finals 10 times and we never lose, and before the match already, somebody give us some pressure. So we are happy we made it again.
The victory also allowed the pair to rise in the world rankings, with Peng becoming the top-ranked women’s double competitor in the world and Hsieh ranking second. Together, they took home prize money worth NT$3.81 million.
