受到梅雨鋒面來襲，天氣也變得很不穩定，除了下大雨，溫度也下降，氣象局預估，要到周五之後，降雨狀況才會解除，但母親節又會有新鋒面報到。
天上灰矇矇、地上濕答答，一陣又一陣的雨勢，宣告梅雨鋒面來報到，而且母親節又會有鋒面來攪局。

“到了禮拜五、六 預計鋒面位置，比較往北邊了，台灣各地的降雨狀況，會變得比較局部一點， 時間上比較短暫，不過到了母親節的前後，預計又有新一波鋒面會影響台灣”
趁著梅雨季的來到，水利署今天凌晨在石門和曾文水庫，都發動人造雨作業，因為今年四月的平均雨量，幾乎只有往年的一半。希望能為集水區帶來更豐沛的雨量。

即使梅雨鋒面帶來大量降雨，台中水庫的旱象未解，倒是石門和曾文水庫，因為大雨帶來水量，讓水庫可以撐到五月底，等待梅雨季節來紓解旱象。
A plum rain front has arrived, bringing precipitation and lower temperatures. Forecasters predict wet weather to linger to end of the work week before another front brings more rain over the weekend, and hopefully relief to the nation’s dried-out reservoirs.
The sky is overcast and the ground below is wet after a succession of rainfall brought by a plum rain front. The outlook for Mother’s Day this weekend is no better as a new weather front is expected to arrive.

Until Friday and Saturday, we expect the weather front to be located more toward northern Taiwan, though the entire island could see rainfall, which will become more localized and sporadic. Before and after Mother’s Day, we expect a new weather front to impact Taiwan.
With the plum rain season arriving, early this morning the Water Resources Agency seeded clouds in hopes of generating rain around the Shihmen and Tsengwen reservoirs. Rainfall in April was about half of previous years, which has led to restrictions.

At the moment, our water control measures include capping household and industrial water use at 12 million tons and cutting water for agricultural use by 15 percent.
Despite this plum rain front, Taichung’s reservoirs continue to face critical shortages. As for the Shihmen and Tsengwen reservoirs, the added rain has provided enough water to last until the end of May.
