就要過年了，台灣人的餐桌上少不了米粉應景。不過消基會檢驗市售米粉之後發現，市面上的米粉，高達9成含米量過低。期中還不乏有新竹農會掛保證的”淳米粉”。
市面上的米粉高達9成，都不是米做的，而是用廉價的玉米澱粉來製作，兩種成本價差差了一倍。消基會痛批是政府政策放水造成的。

“過去十年來，政府降低有關蛋白質的標準，讓他們製作米粉的米量，不要那麼高，但我們卻發現，廠商不但忽視忽略法規，甚至用沒有摻米的原料，告訴消費者這是米粉”
其中這款標榜純米的米粉，由新竹農會掛保證，沒想到送驗結果發現蛋白質含量0.9%，推算含米量最多只有18%。

消基會呼籲政府，除了應要求業者明確標示「純米米粉」或「調和米粉」外，也要重審國家標準，杜絕假米粉魚目混珠。
A favorite dish during the upcoming Lunar New Year holidays will be rice vermicelli. But a consumers group warns that most of the vermicelli sold in Taiwan contains little rice.
According to the Consumers’ Foundation, 90 percent of the rice vermicelli sold in Taiwan isn’t made from rice. Instead it’s produced using cornstarch, an ingredient that costs half as much.

Over the past decade the government lowered its standards for protein. The change reduced the amount of rice that had to be contained in vermicelli. But we found that producers went further. They ignored regulations and even advertised products containing no rice as rice vermicelli.
The Hsinchu Farmers’ Association put its stamp of approval on this vermicelli, which is guaranteed to be made of pure rice. But tests showed it contained only 0.9 percent protein. Based on this figure, it likely contains less than 18 percent rice.

If the label contains false information, enterprises must make improvements within a limited period of time. If they don’t, they can be fined between NT$50,000 and NT$25 million under the Fair Trade Act.
The foundation wants the government to require that manufacturers label their vermicelli as all-rice or composite. It hopes stricter regulations can prevent fake rice vermicelli from being passed off as authentic.
