諾羅病毒疫情持續升溫，疾管局指出，過去四周，因為腹瀉掛急診的病患，是去年同期二倍多，光上週腹瀉病患，就突破一萬人，創五年來同期新高，其中又以六歲以下兒童，感染人數最多。
最近感染諾羅病毒的人越來越多，根據疾管局統計，過去四周各大急診間，腹瀉病人比率，是往年兩倍多，過去一週的累計病例，更突破一萬人，創五年來同期新高。
今年流行族群多為0到6歲，地點則集中在學校和幼兒園。醫生分析，除了病毒自身感染力強，很多病患第一時間，誤以為是流行性感冒沒有及時就醫，不但加重病情，也增加傳染風險。

“諾羅病毒這種腸胃(病毒) ，主要症狀就是燒 吐或是猛拉肚子，呼吸道感染症狀 並不明顯，跟一般呼吸道感染，主要症狀就是說，它是以咳嗽、流鼻水、喉嚨痛為主，吐、拉，並不明顯”
醫生提醒，只要接觸到病患飛沫，也可能會染病，病患最好戴上口罩，在家多休息，民眾也要勤洗手。
Hospitals are reporting an unusually high number of norovirus cases. Doctors warn that the winter stomach flu bug is particularly common among young children.
Cases of norovirus are on the rise. According to the Centers for Disease Control, the number of patients visiting emergency rooms during the past four weeks was over two times higher than normal. In the past week alone 10,000 went for treatment, a five-year high.
Most patients this year have been children under 6 years of age who typically contract the illness at school. Doctors say norovirus is highly infectious. It spreads easily because people mistake it for the common flu and don’t seek treatment.

Major symptoms of stomach bugs like norovirus include fever, vomiting and severe diarrhea says pediatrician Lin Yin-jan. Symptoms typically associated with respiratory tract infections, such as coughing, runny noses and sore throats aren’t as severe.
Doctors say coming into contact with saliva from an infected person is enough to contract the disease. They recommend wearing masks, getting enough rest and frequently washing the hands.
