有立委建議，公營單位包括台鐵、博物館等以四歲為標準，為了避免爭議，小朋友的證件一定要帶著。至於民營企業，因為成本壓力，則是鼓勵業者以三歲為標準。

Public enterprises typically offer free admission or discounts to children under a certain height. But that could soon change with an amendment that would require them to instead consider the child’s age. 

A lawmaker feels the current law can be unfair and wants Taiwan Railways, museums and other public enterprises to offer special discounts to children 4 years old or younger. Some private enterprises which could follow suit are open to the change, but are lobbying for a cutoff age of 3.
