鴻海集團總裁郭台銘臨時召開記者會，談的不是經濟，而是以個人立場痛斥民進黨立委陳歐珀昨天闖馬總統母親家祭鬧場的行為，更要求所有政治人物對此表態，更呼籲民眾用選票譴責，願意出錢請宜蘭鄉親罷免他！

郭台銘大動作召開記者會，就是看不下去民進黨立委陳歐珀，到總統馬英九母親秦厚修女士的家祭鬧場，不僅以個人立場嚴厲遣責，甚至揚言要拿錢出來罷免他。

從太陽花學運，郭董表明希望能從中協調，到這一回出面痛罵陳歐珀，財經名嘴解讀，這一切還是為了鴻海的事業版圖。

上市公司大老闆涉足政治這麼深，郭台銘絕對是台灣第一人。

Hon Hai Chairman Terry Gou held a press conference today to denounce DPP Legislator Chen Ou-po. Gou is deeply upset that Chen went uninvited to the funeral service for President Ma Ying-jeou’s mother then made critical comments about the arrangements.

Legislator Chen Ou-po disrupted a private funeral service. I believe he acted worse than an animal, as his despicable actions inspired hate among others.

Gou called the press conference to give his thoughts on Chen’s behavior at the funeral of President Ma Ying-jeou’s mother, Chin Hou-hsiu. Gou not only used the opportunity to personally condemn this lawmaker, but also said he’s willing to use his own money to get Chen kicked out of office.

I appeal to all of the people of Yilan to stand up and have the courage to remove this legislator. I think it’s an insult to have this person represent your county.

Gou is also thought to have played a role in negotiating an end to the recent student-led Sunflower Movement. An analyst believes this public shaming of Chen could be related to Hon Hai’s business.

I think for businessmen, when your scale of business is so big, it is inevitable that you must buy some sort of insurance when it comes to politics. So he must make a few comments on public issues. 

As this latest incident shows, Gou’s involvement in politics is greater than most of Taiwan’s leading entrepreneurs.
