前民進黨主席蔡英文，今天為英文版想想論壇開站宣傳，目標是讓台灣各項公民議題能讓國際注意，而五月底沒有意外，預料將接任民進黨主席，蔡英文表示將優先做好主席工作，讓民進黨成為2016大選的選項。
五月底民進黨主席改選，蔡英文預料將重掌兵符，第一個面對的就是台北市長參選人的整合難題。

把整合工作擺第一，對於現任主席蘇貞昌，把年底大選勝選門檻訂為六都必須贏得三都，蔡英文覺得時間尚早。

蔡英文今天主要是為了小英基金會的想想論壇英文版開站宣傳，論壇主編寇謐將表示，希望藉由此平台，為台灣發聲。

紐約大學法學教授孔傑榮，也在網站中撰文，希望英文版的開張，能夠為缺乏國際媒體關注的台灣重要議題，找到一條出路。
Former DPP Chairwoman Tsai Ing-wen held a press conference today to promote a new English language website that will provide original commentary on Taiwan. She used the event to discuss how she plans to help the party prepare for the November local elections.
When the DPP selects a new chairperson at the end of the month, it will almost certainly choose its former chairwoman. One of the most pressing matters for Tsai Ing-wen will be to unify the party behind a mayoral nominee in Taipei.

Politics is nothing more than a form of kung fu. Constant discussion, constant search for understanding, constant consolidating of positions; pressing matters must be handled urgently, and everyone must patiently engage in close discussion.
Tsai will replace current chairman Su Tseng-chang, who has set a goal of winning three of the six special municipalities up for grabs. Tsai, however, believes it is too early to set a target.

Many voters don’t make a choice until the last month or two.
The purpose of today’s press conference was to officially launch an English version of a forum associated with Tsai’s Thinking Taiwan Foundation. The editor in chief of the English site, J. Michael Cole, wants greater attention placed on Taiwan-related issues.

That Taiwan does matter and what happens here will be important to the international community.
In a post on the new site, New York University law professor Jerome Cohen expressed hope that Thinking Taiwan can produce much-needed coverage of the island that is sorely lacking in the global press.
