韓國電視節目「食品X檔案」，10月25日，以台灣鯛為主題，製作專題節目，內容多是報導台灣養殖環境髒亂，節目播出後，韓國貿易商隨即暫緩進口，嚴重影響台灣漁民生計，行政院即刻指示外交部與農委會，要求對方更正。
南韓電視台「Channel A」一行人，赴台灣雲林拍攝「台灣鯛」，拍攝附近的養豬場，說廢水就排入魚塭，環境惡劣。另外，還隨手撿了一罐「雪華黴素」空瓶，影涉漁民濫用抗生素。
受訪漁民得知後，怒斥報導胡扯，移花接木。

(雪華黴素)那是以前養豬在用的，不是給魚吃的，豬糞水如果流進魚塭，魚早都死光光了，怎麼活！
播出後節目，有韓國貿易商暫停進口，但韓國市場佔了台灣鯛外銷約五成，重挫漁民生計。
行政院指示農委會和外交部，表達嚴正抗議。

擔心台灣因此鯛崩盤，台灣鯛協會，已經聯繫南韓媒體和貿易商，南下實地查看養殖魚塭。
Already stung by negative reports over weight-loss drugs and edible oils, now Taiwan’s fish farmers face accusations of poor practice. A South Korean TV program issued a report depicting tilapia being raised in Taiwan under unclean, toxic conditions, which led importers to suspend shipments. The Taiwanese government has already issued a complaint.
The South Korean TV station Channel A sent a reporter to Taiwan’s Yunlin County to film a fish farm breeding tilapia. It alleged wastewater from a pig farm being discharged into fish ponds as well as an unclean environment. A reporter also picked up a bottle of Cephamycin and questioned if the antibiotic was given to the fish.
Fish farmers angrily denied the details of the report.

(Cephamycin) was previously used in raising pigs and is not suitable for fish. If water contaminated with pig manure goes into these fish ponds then the fish will quickly die.
After the show program aired, some South Korean traders immediately suspended imports of Taiwan-produced tilapia. South Korea accounts for about half of Taiwan’s tilapia exports, seriously impacting the livelihood of these fish farmers.
The government lodged a strong protest and asked for a correction.

Today, we asked South Korea's media to come back to the scene and make corrections to their report.
Many are worried that the market for Taiwan tilapia could collapse. This has led the Taiwan Tilapia Alliance to invite South Korean media and importers to view these fish farms firsthand in hopes of overcoming the damage of the original TV report.
