小黃過年漲
全台計程車宣布春節將漲價到2月4日，其中北北基實施最早，1月25日就上路。桃園喊出按錶加三成，漲幅最高。而過去打出電話叫車不加價的台灣大、大都會和優良三大車隊，今年也撐不住決定跟進。

賣場不打烊 
三大賣場年貨大街正式起跑，家樂福即日起連三天不打烊，滿兩千送兩百。大潤發滿千就送百。而愛買則是則是18日到30日，延長營業到凌晨三點，也是滿兩千送兩百。

熱氣球起飛
去年過年期間造成轟動的台南熱氣球，今天再度在走馬瀨農場登場，今年除了熱氣球，主辦的台南市農會還安排了火舞秀，要一起陪遊客過年。

Higher Taxi Fares
Higher taxi fares will be in effect over the Lunar New Year holiday until Feb. 4. Taipei, New Taipei and Keelung with see fares rising the earliest, beginning on Jan. 25. Taoyuan will see the biggest increase: a 30 percent surcharge over metered fares. And three leading taxi companies – Taiwan Taxi, M-Taxi, and A-Taxi – have also decided to raise fares for radio dispatched taxis.

Hypermarkets Holiday Deals
Three leading hypermarkets have begun Lunar New Year promotions. Starting today, Carrefour will remain open for three consecutive days and offer consumers NT$200 if they spend over NT$2,000. A.Mart is matching Carrefour’s cash back program and extending its late-night hours. RT Mart going one better by offering NT$100 for every purchase over NT$1,000.

Hot Air Balloons
Hot air balloons were a sensation when they appeared in Tainan over last year's Lunar New Year holiday. This year, they will be available again at Tsou-Ma-Lai Farm. Tainan City Farmers' Association has also arranged a special fire dance show to entertain tourists.
